depending on the POV.... it was racist before I even posted. Its Ok to not like a person,or not be attracted, that thread went to dogging Serena badly with racially charged adjectives.

Calling a sista "gross"...or "shaved yeti" and other VERY disrespectful shit was just going to a different level. I'm sure you didn't see it that way though... many forget black people read what you post here. Ya know? Think of orgers that look like Serena that would take offense to what was said, ( like Sammi, Sweet, shit even Ivy). It was just too raw. Shit if I said stuff like in reference to a white woman's body hell, I would expect somemone to call me on that too. wink

So I agree with all you're saying, but people do say this kinda mean shit about white celebs on here all the damn time as well.

Paris Hilton, anyone? lol

Shit seems to go both ways on here.

It sure does... but when its a black women getting dogged by only white orgers, it makes those orgers look bad.

Calling Serena a skank/ugly is different than saying her ass is gross because its out of proportion and she looks like a wookie of some sort.

That's the same as calling Paris "cracker this-and that" by only black orgers...it just looked bad.

When white folks refer to a black person as an animal/non-human thing, yes.

when a person jokes about themself is an entirely different matter.

Different people have different sensitivities, its never OK to be offensive to others just because you think it'll get you a laugh.

Is it also racist when non-whites compare a white person to an animal/non human thing?

Maybe... not nearly as hurtful most likely because of its an ugly historical thing to compare blacks with animals, because whites were seen as superior. Black people were often thought of as ape-like, and look at all the lovely references to OBAMA and Curious George.

Many white Americans, in this day and age, get that. So its frowned upon in my neck of the woods. People only say those sorts of things to be hurtful.

I can NOT see that video... I know IRL the women look even thinner than on film.

Video sorta "softens, and rounds you out... puts weight on you" so I can imagine the sharpness of her bone structure against her skin. Especially since she is tall, I would think it looks more pronounced sine her natural skeletal shape is longer/wider than a shorter woman's frame.

i don't think she meant it with racist overtones when she said it boo. you can most definitely tell when b$tches are trying to come for you. i didnt get that from her.

& just a side note not everybody is aware of how far back and how deeply regretably ugly and rampant racism was back in the day.

Its all related, because of hurtful comments made about women in general. Erin and I are on a tangent, but it still speaks to the issue of others who can't relate to a situation, to become more tactful when speaking of others.

I'm not American, and I know. I just don't know about all the terms and how 'this apparently really means this' or 'that apparently really means that' kinda stuff and I suspect others don't as well and say things that are taken as racist when really they didn't mean anything racist by saying it.

Oh no... this was about calling Serena (a black woman gross), just like its wrong to call Stephanie "gross" because of her thinnes.
Its insensitive and wrong to speak of women so poorly, just like an insensitive remark about a naturally big-bootayed woman... a previous thread is also being discussed.

lol its not about that... not "super sensitive at all", as you can plainly see, many people here voice opinions on what is offensive to them all the time.
