Let's see what some of the really thin people on this board have to say in response to that comment. I don't agree with insulting her either. A very good friend of mine has anorexia and it's a very sad and hard to deal with, deadly disease. Yes there are really thin people that are born that way, naturally, I am on the thin side naturally myself, but I have a bmi much higher than 18. The reason given here why this girl is that thin is that she is 'macedonian', but that's no 'natural' reason to have a bmi of only 15, which is 3 below the natural bottemline of a healthy weight. By all standards that is very dangerous.

There's not too many girls trying to over eat to be an over weight super model. Then again, I think the whole women parading around in bathing suits on a stage to wear a crown idiotic. I am concerned about Women's health, physically and psychologically. Especially young women. The facts are that more young girls are overweight than underweight and many of them are overweight from over eating - which is also an eating disorder. I'm not trying to downplay girls that starve themselves - which I know is a real problem...I’m just saying that there is a real double standard when it comes to both sides of eating disorders. I don't think there's a double standard at all. Both sides are routinely insulted and ridiculed for not holding up to a "normal" ideal. And that's the problem. |

However, I have seen it time and time again (and on here). Praise the fat girl for having the confidence to parade around and slam the thin girl and insult her for doing the same...this being done by the same person.

How does anyone really know that she 'does this to herself"? I personally do not think that it's a good look, but I don't think fat is a good look either. I do agree that a woman this thin probably shouldn't be a contestant if an overweight woman isn't allowed to be one. But people don't have to be so insulting towards people who are really thin (or fat). agreed agreed agreed. there's absolutely no need ever to be insulting over someone's body type. agree.

I have been ridiculed in that past for being too thin, I had an ex co-worker say she did not want to stand next to me in photos because I would make her look fat.
People say shit, doesn't matter, fat or skinny.

People used to give me a hard time about being thin. Girls would be really mean about it. I think it's because they were so jealous. I don't mean to sound arrogant or anything. I just think that sometimes women can be that way.

I was always the fatty in the family but I never, ever was jealous of my slim cousins. Genes and lazyness ![]() GIRL... I have hugged you, you are NOT anywhere close to being fat! People tease ppl and ridicule them all of the time. I got teased to no end for being "flat chested" and for being pale. You just gotta love who you are. If this supermodel is healthy and happy then more power to her but she needs to remember that she is in the spotlight and lots of young kids will be looking up to her. I just hope she is honest about not having an eating disorder and I hope she is really healthy. She is beautiful and I was looking at her website of portfolio shots. Her face is stunningly gorgeous, her body looks unhealthy and sickly.

Thank you for saying that. I am not quite as thin as this model, but due to my natural body type and some health issues I have which have made it difficult for me to gain weight, I'm definitely on the thin side. When I read threads like these and the mean remarks made about thin/ner women, I feel really shitty because I guess I would make people puke to look at me. That being said, I dont know whether or not this model has an eating disorder or not, but if she does or doesn't, saying nasty things about her looks and weight is, to ME anyway, just as insensitive, tacky, ignorant and meanspirited as making negative, cruel remarks about larger women's bodies.

I know what you mean. Sometimes it really is just masked jealousy. In the course of my life, I've had the very same women who ask me if I'm anorexic or sick or something then also make contradictory remarks at another point, like that they wish they were built more like me, or that I am (was) built like 'a model'.

This Brazilian model was 5 foot 8 and weighed 88 pounds. Comparable to this Namouska brawd. Anyway she died from her anorexia. In this photo she's not even as skin and bones as Namouska. She told people there was nothing wrong with her and that she ate a lot. yeah okay.

Anyone remember her?? Again, she's not even as skinny as the broad we're all posting about.
Extreme diet model dies six months after anorexic sister A teenage model has been found dead from extreme dieting six months after her sister, also a model, died at a fashion show from complications arising from anorexia. Eliana Ramos, 18, was found dead in her bedroom by her grandmother, with whom she was staying in Montevideo, the Uruguayan capital. She is believed to have suffered a heart attack. A full postmortem examination report has yet to be released but local reports suggested that Ms Ramos, who was taking part in Montevideo fashion week, suffered from “alimentary deficiency”. Her parents, who were on holiday at the time of her death, were said to be devastated. Luisel Ramos, 22, collapsed and died on the catwalk during a fashion show in Montevideo last year. Eliana had just embraced her sister and wished her good luck in what was their first fashion show together. Her father said afterwards that his daughter had been on a regime of lettuce and diet cola in an attempt to lose weight. http://www.timesonline.co...386803.ece

The photo is deceptive, she's covering the most telling parts - her spine, back, stomach, the length of the leg. But what you can see of her back is somewhat telling... I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it
