My son has chicken pox!

Now i know it's not a real problem but this bastarding virus has fucked up the entire week - why are we still living with stupid diseses! The treatment for Chicken pox - Calamine lotion, the same thing I was given 25 years ago and the same thing my grandma's used on my parents 55 years ago.

Not that my son is bothered, I just cant work because Nursery is acting like it's ebola!
Happy is he who finds out the causes for things.Virgil (70-19 BC). Virgil was such a lying bastard!

Oh no!!!! It's never a good time for Chicken Pox, but it's good to get it out of the way.

When my kids had it I didn't bother with the calamine lotion. I literally just gave them Piriton and that seemed to work really well.

The weather is pretty good here this week....a good time to be away from work!
Good luck!

Maybe you had a jab when you were little? I had a Rubella jab but had mumps as a child and it was horrible ... never had chickenpox, or if I did I was over it very quickly and didn't get spotty.

I hope the little one is ok soon, Steve.

Nope, no jabs, especially not for Rubella. They tested me after I was pregnant to see if I had an immunity to it and I do not. They will try to jab me as soon as the baby is born. It is not as common in the states.

I hope you never do. They are evil. My poor sister had them so bad they were in her mouth, her eyes and her vagina sad I remember her crying so bad over them. I had them and remember it well. My other sister had them and scabbed herself up itching but she doesn't remember.

Careful!

Unless the virus comes back as shingles later in his life.

I never got chicken pox but when my sister got it, I was in my early 20's, and went to go get vaccinated so I don't get the virus, as I was afraid of ending up with shingles.
