Meh yawn

The last good thing he did was Kill Bill IMO.

But for aaaall the hoopla his movies got, the MOST intersting one to me was...

And I have to say this is also Ms.Grier's best per4mance ever.

Kill Bill was his second-last movie...

Death Proof being the other, and I'm sorry, I can't for the life of me understand what people didn't like about that one. It had arguably the greatest car chase in the history of cinema, if nothing else it rivals the all-time classics, the dialogue was great and the premise was unique.

I personally feel Tarantino has yet to miss, all of his films have become classics, to my mind...

Inglorious Basterds, unfortunately, I'm less than enthused about. But we'll see. When I first saw Kill Bill trailers I was concerned, but now I consider it one of my favourite films of the decade.

And yes nod Jackie Brown is quite a piece of work. I wasn't super into it first watch, but it's definitely grown on me.

Tarantino tells a great story, but somehow I'm getting tired of his blood-and-gore shtick. Even more than Kill Bill, this latest flick just screams an excuse to be as gory as humanly possible.

Um... I do hope Eli Roth's character dies a HORRIBLE death, though. lol

Well said and completely agree about Deathproof it kicked serious ass and without a doubt the best car chase in history (and ultra sexy lapdance).

Tarantino rocks it hardcore. nod

I love Tarantino's ode to Blaxploitation movies(esp in Kill Bill, Jackie Brown & Pulp Fiction),,,,and I also love the fact that its subtle.

Thats why he get his 10 points for me for nostalgia's sake,,,,,but I agree with ya'll that the gory theme going on in almost ALL of his movies has gotton redundant, esp when everybody else does too nowadays.

shrug Meh. I like Tarantino and all, but I'm less than enthused about this one. Maybe the trailers have just been bad, maybe the flick itself just isn't that good. We;ll see, I guess.

Wasn't "Kill Bill" his last big movie that was split into 2 parts? (outside of the b-movie experiment "Death Proof" which had an exciting action sequence that was dynamic beyond anything I thought he was capable of.)

As for the bastard movie, just meh. shrug If it's a good story, with great humor then I'm psyched, but if it's just gore for the sake of gore, then just meh.

I forgot to mention this. Vanity Fair has a few pages of the script to read. It actually seems kinda dramatically exciting.

IMDB does not mention anything about Rodriguez making Machete (it also does not appear in Danny Trejo's IMDB-page).....for all I know Machete was nothing more than a fake trailer for the Gringhouse-thing....

Rodriguez said in a few interviews that he intends to make it
But also that he keeps using his best ideas in other films
