It's going to be 70 degrees out today. We haven't seen that temperature since October. It's also Spring Weekend at Brown University so that's where I'm seeing Sharon Jones...and Nas lol

My spa is booked with bikini and Brazilian waxes today...the kiddies are in heat!

My friend is having a combo of birthday/cd release party in 2 hours, I'm looking for a cool streetwear outfit to put on, Saturday will be spent recovering from a huge court case that's been two months of endless suffering (umm, can we say SPA treatment is needed and I wish you could do something with my skin, I've aged enough in 2 months for 2 whole years????), then I'm trying to track down my boyfriend in route to Tokyo, there's dinner party on Sunday, and finishing 30 pages of back workbook homework for the Beth Moore course "Believing God"...somewhere in between there I have to finish that heap of Pad Thai I made for my friends last night, and get my bay windows washed because it's finally spring and damn it, I'm not going to be looking at my rarified blue skies and flowers through window film mad !

wink

Sounds like an awesome weekend, Carrie! I have missed Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings 3 freaking times. I'm jealous.

I'm going for a run around the lakes tonight, going to my niece's tomorrow to see her off to her senior prom and going out for drinks for a friend's bday tomorrow late evening, on a rooftop in the hopefully gorgeous spring weather!

It's going to be rainy this weekend. confused I'm going to some multi-vendor sales with my mom and aunt. In the slight chance that it doesn't rain, I'm going hiking with some friends on Sunday and then taking another friend out to dinner for her birthday. Nothing too exciting but it beats the hell out of working.

Wakin up too damn early (I couldn't get tonight off) to head down to Anaheim then head up to Hollywood and wait to see NKOTB with some friends. Saw them last night in my town and one of my crazy friends ran out of Denny's after Donnie updated on Twitter that he was not far from where we were at. rolleyes She ended up meeting him and got her pic taken w/ him. Comin back home Sunday and go chill at the club w/my homies. 2 are djing that night, so I gotta go support but I know I'll be butt tired! I'm still a lil w/ this cold.

It seems like it, but I'm still not getting into it. My friends said I should join, but I don't have a blackberry or a newer phone that can handle it. I rarely update or whatever. I don't know how long I'll keep it. I was gettin annoyed last night trying to give my friend directions to the place we were sleeping at and she wasn't paying attention because she was asking our other friend if Donnie updated on Twitter. She's gettin a lil crazed here. Yup, we missed our turnoff. neutral

Visited a church this morning. It seemed nice enough, despite 3 things:

1) The band didn't groove. In Nashville, church bands normally can segue smoothly from a praise song into a sanctified version of EW&F's "Let's Groove" boogie during the visitors welcome.

2) The pastor maligned Twitter during his sermon without even knowing what it was. He polled the congregation -- "Who here knows what Twitter is? Who here has a Twitter account?" -- and it looked like I was the only one who raised a hand... whofarted There you have it: Twitter is the first sign of apostasy, apparently... disbelief

3) One greeter, after service, kept asking me what my name was. She seemed mid-twenties, about 5 months pregnant and wore no ring. I'm all for adopting a church family, just not adopting a church family really quickly... disbelief

Aside from that, I'm thinking about hitting a concert in a few... hmmm

<--- Not one of them.

I think she might be married. Maybe her fingers were swollen today, and she couldn't wear her rings. Because it would seem an odd choice to have a single expectant mother officially greeting visitors at a church in the Bible Belt. hmmm
