Are probably in the sandbox.
Real Mothers often have sticky floors,
Filthy ovens and happy kids.
Real Mothers know that dried play dough
Doesn't come out of carpets.
Real Mothers don't want to know what
The vacuum just sucked up.
Real Mothers sometimes ask 'Why me?'
And get their answer when a little
Voice says, 'Because I love you best.'
Real Mothers know that a child's growth
Is not measured by height or years or grade...
It is marked by the progression of
Mommy to Mom to Mother...

Real moms of teens know that every teen was the last one and the ONLY one that takes out the trash, feeds the dog, or did the dishes.

Real moms of teens know that even though they said you dress and look old, your eye liner, shoes and clothes come up missing.

Real moms of teens know that there is a different hairstyle and pair of tennis shoes that match every different event throughout the day- breakfast, walking the dog, going to the grocery store, greeting the mailman...

Real mom of teens know that there is a little girl who wants to be a pretty princess underneath every 16 year old drama queen.

Real moms of teens know their time is winding down and they will miss the noise.

Real moms of teens know their is so much more beauty on the inside than the fashion and make up could ever express.

Real moms of teens know they can't make the mistakes for them.

Real moms of teens are surprised and saddened, even after 18 years of preparation, that their baby does not need you to figure it all out for them.
