Weezer

Can anyone agree with me that these guys rock!? I'm thoroughly enjoying them right now. Especially Pinkerton. I can't believe they produced it themselves. It sounds like the work of Steve Albini. They must've been on top of their game to create an album twice as good as their debut without the help of Ric Ocasek or anyone else.
Viva la Weezer! headbang

I was heavily into the blue album and I never really got into Pinkerton although I liked "the Good Life", I kind of moved on to other stuff without letting Pinkerton grow on me.

I've been getting into them on and off since the first album but I'm really hooked since the Green Album. What's your favorite album of theirs? I'm making a b-sides album soon. smile

I think that Pinkerton really rocked, as well as the Green album... they are all great though.

Here is a thread from when I went to see Weezer in concert recently:

Damn! They played plenty of Pinkerton tracks. I heard he hated that album and rarely played stuff off of it. I guess he's changed his mind. I would have to agree with you that Pinky and Green are the best but they're all great. I hope they don't take another 5 year hiatus now. The world needs Weezer. biggrin

There were a few people who called me a dumbass and said that Weezer sucked... this was on the old General Discussion forum when I posted a topic called something like:

WEEZER, THE NEW GODS OF ROCK!

For some reason, that pissed people off. biggrin

This is the first I've even gotten into Pinkerton yes.

I've had the first album for years and the Green and Maladroit when they came out. But my friend just bought me Pinkerton the other day and it's easily my favorite. Are you a fan as well?

Stupid bitches. I can't think of many better bands putting out stuff right now. They're pretty much carrying the torch.

That's kinda lame. I wonder why. For his project or theirs?

My faves so far on Pinky are Tired of Sex followed closely by Getchoo, The Good Life and Pink Triangle.

Since SkeletonKee seems to be MIA, I'll say it:

Wrong Forum.

But I do love Weezer. Make no mistake about that. You may want to include me on this B-sides party. X-mas is coming up, you know...

=W=

Weezer has been one of the most important bands for me for a long time, since Blue album.
Pinkerton is definately my favourite Weezer, blue is almost as charming.
Im also getting more and more into Green, but Maladroid was really disappointing. It has some really good songs, but too many crappy ones in between.
