The Arsenio Hall show

I know you all must be thinking, I watch alot of tv, but growing up as kid, this was one of my favorite things 2 do.I was your sterotypical couch potato. There was alot of great tv programing during the late eighties and early 90's. I had to watch The Fresh Prince of bailair on Mondays', and 90210 on Wednesday, but my favorite show of all time was The Arsenio Hall show. It seemed like I would wait up all night long, just 2 watch for this show 2 come in. My bed time was at nine thirty, but when twelve O' clock come along I would snick down the stiars to watch this show, I would get caught every time, but then I would be like, "but ma it's Arsenio" then she would finally give in lol. I highly ticked when the show cancel back 1994. CBS had no reason to cancel the show, it was still a popular show and had higher ratings then the tonight show with Jay Leno. I stopped watching the tonight show, when Johnny Carson retired from the show, and that's how I got hooked on Aresenio, At first I didn't really care 2 much about Jay Leno. I refused to watch a show that was hosted by the Derito guy lol.
The only reason why CBS cancelled The Aresenio Hall show, was becuase a certain guess he had on there. I don't know if anybody remember this , but it was a time when alot of racism was going here in the states and Arsenio Hall wanted Louis Farakahn to be on the show one night, but CBS warned Arsenio Hall that if He had Lous FaraKahn on the show, they would fire him, despite the fact of his popular, Needless to say Arsenio hall went against the company wishes and we never really heard from him again sad and I had no choice but to watch The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. You know I would Like 2 see Arsenio make a come back in the world of talk shows. I bet if he did he come back harder and stronger, challenging the ratings of both David Lattermen and Jay Leno. Jay Leno is okay, I like him now, but David Lattermen, I just always thought old people watched his show lol. Please don't flame this thred for that comment lol but I'm going to write all the major networks stations 2 please bring Arsenio back, is there anyone with me on this ?

I found that kind of odd too, that after Louis appeared on the show, talks of cancellation of the show started occuring. Arsenio had the most LIVELY talk show, that's for sure. He certainly has the best musical guests. I rarely missed an episode of his show, and if I knew I wouldn't be home to watch it, I'd tape it.

Yes, I have to agree Arsenio Hall show was a great late night show. Vh1 for a bit shown clips of interviews and preformance of the show from the Arsenio Hall shows thanks to them me was able to get a Prince preformance of him during the diamonds and pearls album era, but I wish they would of also put the 0(+> album preformance also on the vh1 Arsenio Hall flashbacks. I don't really watch Jay Leno or Letterman me just find them a bit boring with their jokes. Arsenio Hall had me laughing I liked those silly names he would called the audience section and the woot woot woot call signal woot! smile

Ugh! sorry, no offense, but I couldn't stand the Arsenio Hall show in the last couple years. His stand up was tired, same ole shit, him making a lame joke, then putting his hand in front of his mouth and those big ass gums of his...

Then he would "fawn" all over his guests, never letting up, it made me queasy.

Finally, when Jay Leno took over the Tonight Show, he made the statement of "no holding back now, he's gonna kick Jay's ass!"... afterwhich I tuned out.

Now he's on Leno, doing lame videos of his antics at events... it's boring and unfunny. I don't know why Jay finds it necessary 2 continue 2 put him on.

Sorry, just my twocents

I miss Arsenio's Show. To me it was the Hottest,Freshesh Show around and it was a shame that because of 1 Boo-Boo he got Forced to Resign. I Loved his Guests Especially Prince. I think the Appearances on Arsenio's show were Amazing. Prince was Fantastic. What a Showcase for Prince's Talent.
