Icelandic is my native tongue and I consider myself fluent in English. I know a bit of Danish (and also Norwegian and Swedish) and I've studied French, German and Spanish so I have a basic vocabulary in those languages...
I do own language software from Eurotalk for Polish, Mandarin and Arabic, but I haven't given myself the time to go through them yet.

I hope they taught languages at my school They teach English but that's it and THANK GAWD it's not part of my credits English is a universal/business language these days, so you can go practically anywhere with it. Same with Spanish in a lot of regions. I almost didn't study Spanish in school, I was actually going to study Swedish [see my Org theme song *_____*], but then I found it wasn't as practical in my day-to-day life. I was trying to do an exchange program in Uppsala, Sweden and I was really serious about taking up that language. Nowadays, I'm leaning more towards other European languages, though. Not so much Swedish anymore (@ least right now). btw Alej, you should maybe check out an exchange program one semester or as a summer thing at least. Don't know what your interests are but I think you'd find it amessing [Edited 4/18/09 15:03pm]
