THE WORST THING TO HEAR WHEN YOU WAKE UP!

this morning i woke up to the sound of my neighbor beating his child, it sounded so bad!!! i could hear the father throwing things at the child, and the child screaming "no daddy, please!" through my wall! sad i called 911 right away. and i think the police took the child, and arrested the father, because the child was in bad shape. sad sad sad sad i can't stop thinking about it now. it really made me sad, i can't imagine doing that to my child, or how anyone could do that to their child! the child looks like he's only 5 years old or so. sad

Thank God you called 911, you'd be surprised how many people would not do so in that situation sad...

I hope the child's ok and that this leads to a much safer and healthier environment for him.

OMG that had to be stressful for you hug I have a neighbor that is very loud and neurotic and even though I haven't witnessed her being physically violent (I still live too far to hear everything, thank God) I can witness her kid being raised on a totally wrong way and that often saddens me and makes me wonder just WHY do some people have children in the first place. Still, many kids who are victims of domestic abuse become satisfied and beautiful individuals, regardless of their painful memories. Calling the police was absolutely the right thing to do. There was nothing more you could do to help that poor child.

Thank GOD you called. You saved a life. I don't see how people do that, either. Even if a kid IS a little hellfire, it doesn't require such violence. So so many people turn away from situations like that and so many small souls are lost because of it.

You're a wonderful person. smile

yes a lot of people wouldn't do anything. My mom let this woman into our apartment. I guess she was being abused she was crying and had her baby in her arms...around nine months...the baby was just staring at her with a sad face, because he knew something was wrong.

I had an old neighbor whose ex would slap her and you could hear it...it was loud...and all the yelling.

I can see if a kid is rotten..yeah he/she will need a beating, but if the kid looks terrified of the parent...something is wrong.

maybe people have different views on what a beating is.....I don't mean a brutal beating...maybe a light spanking....or time out or a toy taken away.

I guess it's a cultural thing...if no one in your family was beaten...then you would be against it...if you've seen it then you wouldn't think it's so bad. I'm talking about abuse like the thread starter mentioned. I know in certain schools teachers hit kids...and your parents can't really do much about it.

you did the right thing i wish more people would be more caring of others sometimes instead of just avoiding things like that. cool i have been abused so its just something thats apart of my life. so i know what that is very much. hense i have been a run away for most of my life. ya who knows what could of happened to the child if it nothing was done. just kinda breaks my heart
