I am doing our state taxes at the last minute, so it's my fault I am scrambling. But I need advise on this. Do File Married but separate or Married and Jointly? If I just did it on my own, I'd be getting back a couple of hundred and if he did the same, he'd get something. BUT>>>when we file jointly we end up oweing like 3K . I thought filing jointly was supposed to be a benefit. Also what form should I file? Should I just do Turbo Tax for this?

So how is going on that tax return??
I did mine on monday. I always end up paying a couple hundred, so I am never in a rush to do them, but it always feels great when you are done.

So we had to file Married, but separate. As Joint filing would mean we would end up owing a few thousand dollars and separate, we actually get a little something back.

Well here in we have until midnight of April 30 and post offices stay open late.

I already got mine done by my accountant weeks ago and I get a refund!!
