Having to drive all the way to Detroit, just to get a decent hair cut for my son. Why don't they teach white barbers how to line up little black kids hair? I don't understand. If a white person walked into a black salon on barber shop, they would still be serviced properly, but I can't take my son to Fantastic Sam's or Borics because they don't know how to do a "BALD FADE"!!! That pisses me off! I have to drive all the way to the city for a $10 hair cut!!!!!

Smooches;) Nice racial generalizations Maybe, but getting black hair cut at chain salons, the majority of which cater to a white clientele, can be a challenge. She's not making that up. I have a friend who is a district manager of one such chain. He admits that while its stylists should be trained to service heads of different textures, they often admittedly suck at it and/or feel uncomfortable cutting "ethnic" hair -- not out of any racist motivation, but simply because they have little experience. ...But, anyway, to get this thread back on track... thread jacking sucks! The stupid stuff 1. Didn't cover my gray. 2. Turned my hair auburn instead of the dark brown like it was supposed to. Time to book that trip to the salon I was trying to avoid. A tip I learned (the hard way), never use a colour with "golden" in it, it will bring out the red highlights in your hair. Stick with ones that say "natural". Looked at the box and it says "Light golden brown". What the hell was I looking at when I bought that? I actually kind of like it now. It's growing on me.

Least I'm not totally screwed since I at least have the first job. But the pay is shit so I've got to do the double job thing. Under better circumstances I'd just quit the job I have and look for something better paying, but given the bitch of a time I'm having finding another job somehow I think that wouldn't be a wise move. Hearing that one of my best friends in the world is gonna have to stand by his Dad and help him through terminal cancer. I love this boy with all my heart and i hate to see him lose this man. I fucking HATE cancer.

Good luck mate If it is any consolation you raised a helluva son. Oh my goodness. That's horrible! My prayers to the family. Sounds like your best friend is a wonderful son and will be truly blessed in life. I've lost plenty to family to different types of cancer. The vet told me one of my cats may have it so he had surgery in March and luckily, his lumps were not cancerous. "When words fail, music speaks..." --- Shakespeare
