OMG. I am SO glad to find that i'm not alone. I thought I was the only one that felt like that.

Check out Russell Crowe's IMDB page: "Turned down the role of Logan/Wolverine in X-Men (2000)." http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000128/bio As I said before, I think Jackman is alright, but I think Crowe would have been a better cast. I also don't see the fascination with Gambit . It must have spawned from the second X-men cartoon because I don't remember him being a major character in the comic books. | |

It's also on the X-Men Wikipedia page, which lists a book called "Comic Book Movies" as its sole source for this nugget of information. Also, Russell was in the midst of making the Insider, Proof Of Life and a little film called Gladiator during the time X-Men was shooting so, again, since IMDB/Wikiperida are user-modifiable, I doubt there's any truth to (what seems to be/what I think is) a rumour. The geek in me, the annoying part of me that contemplates whether the Millennium Falcon could take out the Enterprise (which I totally think it could), is a little annoyed that Cyclops is in this movie when he and Wolverine clearly hadn't met yet in the first X-Men movie, but I'm totally prepared to get over it any day now. Me too. Besides, I simply have to be there opening day to watch on the big screen with everybody else who geeks out on this stuff.
