I believe I had 2 periods where I went back for 4-5 months, but I've basically been on my own since then. |

I left for good at 22.
Now I'm back, but not by choice. I am recently divorced and am going to nursing school to try and make a better life for myself and my kids. No way I could get a place of my own and pay all of my bills on what I get in child support from my ex. So, I'm living with my mom. Most of the time it's OK. Sometimes I want to scream though. I do look forward to being on my own again.

Mom's rules, out by 18 and never come back. Done and done.

That's a little complicated. I didn't officially move out of my mother's house until last year, when I was 23.
But between 21 and when I moved out of the house, though it was my mother's house she didn't live there. She lived in another town altogether and my sister, some friends and I rented the house from her. Before that I was living at home with my mother, but I'd been paying rent and buying my own groceries since the month I turned 18. My moving out was a gradual process. I moved out of my parents' house at 18 to go off to college. When I graduated at 23, I lived with them again for about 5 months until I got my own place. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I moved out at 18 when I went to college.
Came back at 21 for a few and moved back out at 22. Its funny how my mom calls me every once in awhile asking me if I can come over and play scrabble. Or if she calls and I dont answer, she'll leave a voicemail asking me if im ignoring her calls cuz im "doing it" She knows me best!

Never really moved out, I ran away at 21.
Wanted to move out earlier but I was in charge of my mum since I was 16. When she left for the mental institution I couldn't imagine staying with her loony ex so I left and started a homeless experience for one year. One year later I came back to normal life, job market and get a place to rent. Then I came back to "my previous place" with my man and two policemen to get my stuff back and moved out for good. Is there any place of refuge one can flee from this insanity

I was pregnant and my mother told me there was no way I was having a baby while living with her. It was one of the best things she's ever done for me. The Normal Whores Club

I moved out at 18 to go to college, but I don't count that b/c I lived in the dorms and I had to come back home every summer. I moved back home to live at 21 when my roomate graduated before me. I'm still living at home, hoping to move out soon after I graduate in December.
I kind of want to stay home so that I can stack that cheese, but sometimes living with my mom just gets on my last good nerve. I love her tho. I graduated bitches!!! 12-19-09

After college, I stayed until I was 25 and my school loans were all paid. It's nice being debt free.
