speaking of Felix Mitchell, there was a BET documentary on him called "American Gangster". My mom also went to junior high with him, the same junior high I attended when I first moved back to Cali.

You can still see the effect he had on the projects he used to live in. You can barely walk through that complex disbelief

My mom also saw Huey P Newton a couple of times walking through the neighborhood

My mom was telling me how James Brown was performing at the Oakland Arena and it was so rowdy, James got angry and said "Ya'll can't act right! I ain't never comin' back here!" lol

It hasn't changed much....I've heard stories of rappers getting robbed/their asses beat at the Oakland Arena lol

Eric Bana (he was raised 5 mins from my place, we also went to the same gym, few years later I was an office manager for his accountant and got to know him on a whole different level, then scenes from his film 'Chopper' was filmed at my next door neighbours house.
