My easter is not for another 2 weeks (orthodox easter) and will be having a big lunch with my family. In the days leading up to it will be helping my mum with dying eggs red, cooking easter midnight soup (Magiritsa) and baking yummy shortbreads...  | |

Easter is the one Sunday I really miss going to church. Not for any religious reason, but because I'd always have a fab new hat and outfit (that I usually finished sewing at about midnight on Easter Eve   ) and we'd go to the country club for brunch after.
I wish my family still lived close by...  We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. | |

Today, going to my family's annual fish fry in the country (One of my bootleg cuzzins told me that if I don't bring my peach cobbler to bring my tennis shoes and Vaseline cuz we gon' block off traffic and fight in the middle of the street. My nutty fam  )
Tonight going to see Tha Kid Capri. 
On Easter Sunday, sleeping til noon then going to brunch at the Fairmont.  | |

On Easter Sunday, sleeping til noon then going to brunch at the Fairmont. I'm making tomorrow's peach cobbler when I get back later  ...Chile I'm getting jiggy with it and throwing in a bluberry pie, too
I'm too lazy to fry fish tonight, so I ordered these gigantic scallop on the half shell thingies that I'ma top with a mixture I made white wine, butter, and herbs for tonights lil' party, throw in some frou frou versions of traditional southern side dishes, and then Ima call it a night  | |

Eating all day.
We are having a free-style Polish Easter. Food starts before dawn and goes all day, through the night and all day on Dyngus Day.
