they used to do that to me when i was in school, too. We almost always had an exam on Thanksgiving and Easter Monday. It does pay off in the end and you'll be better for it. It just sucks right now.

Easter Sunday

Both the Maundy Thursday and Good Friday sermons are finished. Now I have to begin work on Easter Vigil. The Vigil is the high point of the Church year and the service lasts around 3 hours. Begin at 10 PM, end around 1 AM. After the vigil we break the fast with a champagne reception.

No Easter Sunrise... that would be killer seeing as how I won't get to bed until 2 AM at the very earliest...

every year we go to a golf course that has a morning breakfast, and afterwards an Easter egg hunt for the kids, the eggs are filled with prizes (last year my son won golf clubs ). there's lots of games for the kids, etc....it's alot of fun, we enjoy it! then that evening, my husband has to work, so my son and i will decorate easter eggs, and watch some movies and eat popcorn.

big stupid family reunion.

Just found out we are going to in-laws for an Anniversary party for our first Anniversary. That will be something I have never done on Easter Sunday.

i know priests that do Chrism Mass, Holy Thursday, Stations of the Cross, Vigil and Catholic vigil can go on for up to 4 hours or more if it's done Trinitine, Sunrise and Easter day and Easter afternoon.

if i'm not mistaken Il Papa does both Vigil and Sunrise.

Dancelot is from Linz, Austria and Dave1992 is from Mödling near Vienna. But there are some other orgers from Austria and Germany too, they are just hardly ever posting in GD as far as I know. Oh an of course my dear friend Martina (IB) is originally from Germany, but has been living in the USA for a long time.
