When do you call a spade a spade?

In my opinion the reason why racism is such a touchy subject in this second year of the new millenium is because some people refuse to face/admit it. They deny being racists and will project their racist views on others because those are the only views their closed minds are able to conceive, therefore, since they are truly racist, anyone going against their grain is racist. rolleyes

One solution to addressing racism is to expose it, to the core. Exposure of the truth. Why is it that KKK members hide their true identities with white sheets covering their faces?

Racism is hate for another human being based on things other than character. Racism and hate are one and the same. When you speak of racism you're speaking of a specific form of hate. Anyone who refuses to associate racism with hate are fooling themselves. Again, this is my opinion.

Minister Farrakahn was labeled a racist for being pro-Black. Is Prince a racist for calling Abe a racist? When do you call a spade a spade?

Sometimes people will refer to others as "fucking Texas white boys" and such... I would call that racist.

What would you call a black person who called a white person a "fucking white boy" or a white person who called a black person a "stupid, black motherfucker" in an argument?

Would you call them racist?

I disagree with you on one point: Minister Farrakhan was labled a racist because he made remarks about Jewish people and white people that were, indeed, racist. Not because he's "pro-black".

Are you white?
Are you from Texas?
Are you fucking?
Are you a boy or do you sometimes act like a boy?

And what I mean by boy, do you cry like a little boy everytime your feelings get hurt and run to mommy, daddy or any who will defend you? Do you crave the support of others to big up yourself? Do you snap when others don't agree with you?

Besides all that, let's not lose sight of the hate/racism association.

I will give you that, he did make some hateful comments about Jewish people, but in my opinion, he does not hate Jews or white people because of their skin color or their religion, it is their character that he hated. There's a difference.

Listen to yourself, SweeTea! The comments he (Farrakhan) made about Jewish people's "character" were based upon racist stereotyping. Your arguments are like saying white supremacists only hate black people because they're "lazy" and "on welfare", which are issues of 'character', right? eek

See, this here is thee problem. "It doesn't matter WHY you hate someone of a different race..." You mean to tell me that I'm not supposed to express my emotions when I am constantly denied my constitutional rights by some white people. That I'm not supposed to express my emotions because I take offense to "niggers go home", or I'm denied the opportunity to purchase a home in an all white neighborhood, or even drive through said neighborhood. and because I say, it was those racist bigots who did this to me, this make me a racist? rolleyes WTF? What kind of logic is that? I know, do you? Can you please explain to me the logic of your statement in detail, not generalizations without backup?

How long are Black people supposed to take this bullshit with a smile? When does it end? Now you saying I can't even hate a racist because he hates me? Had this person not expressed his sincere dislike for the color of my skin, and purposely and willful deny me anything because of it, I'd have absolutely no reason to call him a racist, there would be no reason to. Duh.

Maybe you are not getting this, but if YOU make racist statements against whites, YOU are a racist. Your statement was a racist statement that was made to insult me based on the color of my skin, therefore you were being racist.

Can you not see that?

If I called you a "black bitch" or something equally horrible and inappropriate, I would be a racist asshole. The fact is that you definitely made a racist comment and there is no way to explain it away based on your experiences in your neighborhood or whatever else.

If you want to call a spade a spade, just admit that you are a racist and be proud of yourself.

Some of the things Minister Farrakhan has said, especially about Jewish people, were based on stereotypes just as outrageous and blanketing as those of the white supremacists. You appear to be justifying Mr. Farrakhan's hatred and invective towards an entire group of people, based upon stereotypes, not "character".

I'm just interested in what you think the difference is between hating Jews or White people based on their religion or skin colour as opposed to hating Jews or White people based on "their character" . as if there is some generic character?! You don't think the latter is just as racist?

Hating an individuals character (whether they are white or black, Jewish or Muslim etc) is not racist, but hating Jews or Whites based on "their collective character" (as if there is such a thing) is clearly a racist notion. Don't you think?

What kind of logic is that? I know, do you? Can you please explain to me the logic of your statement in detail, not generalizations without backup?

How long are Black people supposed to take this bullshit with a smile? When does it end? Now you saying I can't even hate a racist because he hates me? Had this person not expressed his sincere dislike for the color of my skin, and purposely and willful deny me anything because of it, I'd have absolutely no reason to call him a racist, there would be on reason to. Duh.
.

Maybe you are not getting this, but if YOU make racist statements against whites, YOU are a racist. Your statement was a racist statement that was made to insult me based on the color of my skin, therefore you were being racist.

Can you not see that?

If I called you a "black bitch" or something equally horrible and inappropriate,

which you have, but that's between me and you.

I would be a racist asshole. The fact is that you definitely made a racist comment and there is no way to explain it away based on your experiences in your neighborhood or whatever else.

If you want to call a spade a spade, just admit that you are a racist and be proud of yourself.

No Ice, you not getting it you are the one who is a racist. You refuse to examine this thing to the core. You will only address surface issues. This is how people live with and accept racist attitudes in themselves and other people -- denial.

I don't need to prove to you I'm not racist or anybody else here. But I challenge those who have judged me based on Icenine's summations, preview my previous posts and judge for yourself. But really it doesn't matter to me one way or the other. I will not back down to you Ice, never! You are a racist and no matter how you try to hide it with your occassional post about white people, just keep talking, you're going to expose your own hand eventually.

And for the record, yes I sent that private orgnote. I have nothing to hide. I stand behind everything I said in those orgnotes, and I ain't biting my tongue.

I'm really dumbfounded though about one thing. Would a so-called racist extend their hand in friendship? I sent you hugs that very same day, yet you chose to think they were in jest, even after I told you they were sincere. Is this the act of a racist? You even reported me to the moderator for saying "you know how I feel about you" insinuating that I was trying to flame you. WTF? What, now I can't express my feelings without being reprimanded?
GTFOOH!!!
