There is no intent on behalf of the DreZone 2 apply any of the a4mentioned in a malicious or racist context.

That makes absolutely no sense to me.

You are saying that you would be okay with someone saying to you:

"I knew you were just a fucking English black boy..." or

"You are just a pussy black boy..." or something similar anway.

I would take that as being a racist comment. I don't think it's so much the word or phrase that is used, as much as it is its intent.

When I my daughter was in the 4th grade, she got in the middle of some little girl 4th grade type of argument. The group of girls were of different races. My daughter tells one of the little girls that she needs to shut her "white butt" up. (don't you just I know I whooped her ass, anyway, finishing the story.) The little girl who was my daughter's friend was sooo hurt by my daughter. The principal called me up and told me the story. We were so shocked at my child's comments becasue she was so popular with different races of kids. But the interesting thing is that my daughter was confused by our anger. She kept saying why are "WE" focusing on race. And we were like, why did you say "white butt"? My daughter said she's white so I assumed her butt would be white too!!!

Me and the prinicpal cracked up on the phone about it. You would have to know I have a logical thinking child so we couldn't really get upset with her because she didn't see what we as a white principal and a black parent were seeing.

Interesting huh...my daughter is now 12 and still doesn't get what we were upset about.

I only ask because someone called me "white boy" in an orgnote and I found it amusing as this person claims not to be a racist.

What do you think, is it racist or not?

It was used in this way:

"I knew you were just a fucking Texas white boy..."
"You are just a pussy white boy..."

That sort of thing... would you say that the person who said this was a racist?

Edited...

It's official, they've got issues.

If you're going to call racism into play, you might as well call this person's regional dysphoria and possible misogyny into play, as well.

I mean, looking at the overall negativity in the epithets hurled your way in this example, it appears as though this person not only looks down on white folks, but they also think very little of Texans and vaginas.

So who's a woman-hating racist Texophobe, then?

Well :I: am definitely with U on the intent issue however :I: would B more jacked off if some1 cursed while they called me "Black Boy" e.g. Using the F word or the P censored ssy word.

and as 4 being called "White Boy", "Black Boy", "Puerto-Rican Boy" or whatever, it's a symbol of ignorance and inarticulation... something which :I: instantaneously switch off 2 anyway.

Racism totally sucks. I've dealt with racism all of my life. If you're black in America you will get your fair share of racism, especially if you are a young black man. And what gets me mad is when people act like racism don't exist anymore. Racism is alive and well, and it is deceitfully smart.

But IceNine isn't talking about being black in America, he is asking if a black person calling him "white boy" is racist. What do you think about that?

It depends on the intent. It appears that whoever Icenine was arguing with true "colors" came out.

This person had shown him/herself to be racist in the past and I have called him/her a racist for it... this is just another example of it... I won't mention their name and I deleted their orgnotes to save me from the temptation of posting them, but they are most assuredly a racist asshole.

They know exactly who they are.

The comments were racist. Verbal racism is anytime that a person's race is used to discriminate. Using 'white boy' doesn't add any objective meaning to what he's saying and it's merely pointing out race in order to be offensive.

I live in a place where 'white boys' are referred to by Chinese words meaning 'red head'. I can handle the words being used to describe somebody who is elsewhere, because it helps describe the person to the listener. But I can't handle a person using it as a name to my face. It makes me wonder, okay so you've pointed out that I am different, so how is this going to affect how I'm being treated in this situation? They've made the point of distinguishing me by my race, so I assume I am being treated based on that distinction. That's racism.

considering the context it appears 'white' is being used to attempt to further insult you when combined with the other words...

so it would appear in this instance, yes...

I think this matter is perhaps a private argument that has now leaked onto the forums smile Before it continues further I'm going to lock the thread.

BTW racist abuse will not be tolerated on this site, not even slightly.
