Ay, that's ill, man! You're a real artiste! I spread myself too thin. You get thick with it, though. You know how weed it all out. My mind....I can't explain it. I don't want to make it seem like it's broad because it really isn't. But, I've got a little something worth sharing with the world. The nuclei of my brain matter contains something that we all can benefit. I just hope I get as close you seem to be with relaying that to everyone around you and beyond. Keep hustlin', bruh! There's no stopping you.

This is funny.

But I can't help all this artists "taking my self seriously cause I'm an artist man"...."dude I'm deep so lets go hump". (in short..)

Perhaps that was cool while I was in college and when I was under 25. I would have been brain humping with a dude that makes up a Sah Ril thing. ANd makes analogies of music and art and literature etc.

But when I grew up, I was brain humping the man who works magic on my personal financial budgets, helps pay the mortgage, fixes my car, whatever.

Amazing what ten years does. I went from dreamer to realist and a grown up.

What a life you have in front of you. wink

I just finished my MBA, and I guess I've been reflective lately.

Don't mind me. But I see goofy college kids being silly at work. Harmless.

Stop your bitchin' and moanin' M!! You are EXACTLY the kinda dude i would luuuuuv to invite out at home in America (with wifey and kiddie of course) making ,well, I guess you could say anthropological tours in different regions of the country so you could see how reeeeallly fucked up race relations can be my country
razz ...it's not everywhere, or in every small pocket of every small town, but it exists throughout our races in the US...and until we all get real over there about past hurts, wrongdoings, and a bunch of weird endemic, systematic, institutional bullshit regarding race (as well as retaliations)....well...we're always going to remain on the same merry-go-round over there about this subject and not have healthy closure on it.

I know it sounds all peace luvin' hippie-tree-hugger, but yep...I think (if we ever met) we could have a grand old time checking out some interesting pockets of the US that resemble the Twighlight Zone regarding race relations...I just know in the end you'd be like

"Oh Damn, this entire country really IS fucked up" eek

To which your org friends might reply;

"we.
told.
you.
we.
were.
not.
exxagerating."

wink

but I would hope that at least we could come to some sort of understanding on it

Some see it one way. Others see it another. That shouldn't stop you, though. Don't be havin' second thoughts, man! But also, make sure you've got something to fall back on. Shit, we're in a recession; perhaps, one of the worst! But, follow your dreams and achieve your goals. If it wasn't meant to be, you'll know at some point, right? Young yet, dude! I can also respect Kat's tenure in this thing called life, too. However, some things don't turn out the way we originally planned. Maybe, in the end, that's what truly worked for her, from the get-go. I think you're both swell individuals.

Then why do you so often feel the need to comment on the way others perceive and talk about race when the discussion doesn't concern you?

I am human, part of the human race. Of course it affects me. My opinion is my opinion and i have every right to express it. Race relations affect everyone and this dumb ass fucking line as usual is starting to influence relations here too because stupid ass kids wanna be just like their idols in the states and so the line is extending and society as a whole is suffering, so yes....it fucking affects me when i start getting abused for being white 2 streets from my office or i get intimidated by some dumb ass wanna be gangsta assholes for doing nothing more that being white.

I made no comment on how others "feel", everyone is entitled to their emotional response. My comment was simply about the un required and superfluous referral to the guys colour as some factor in his not understanding.

The American obsession with skin colour continues neutral

ok...i came by to check..and i cant really do my do on this thread cuz im at work, and i know i'll get sucked in, but i will say this...

(non-confrontational of course...just pointing something out, and sharing)

my coworker (the one holding the camera) has a pre-occupation with race. he find it hilarious (which i get) but he also has no tact or administers no caution when reveling in stereotypes (this i hate about him). he strangly adores me and has often cited "you're the black friend i always wanted"

complete ignorance, but as long as it isnt backed by hate i can forgive.

i'm intelligent enough to know this is just the product of america- and it isn't HIS fault that the media has been pumpin this "lines of distinction" into his brain...

if you'll note...as he begins his "intro" you can hear me in the background saying "thats not necessary..."

it is also HIM who revels in the joke of "he wont steal your wallet" and delivers the punchline "impovershed, urban people"

both times you can hear my dismiss his statements as foolishness, but both me, my boss (and my dept) are aware of this about him- and we overlook cuz at heart he's a decent guy.

the "old jew" thing, is my boss obviously joining in and poking fun at himself.

not that i doubt any of you are slow enough not to catch this but i know someone of you were waiting to read an intelligent answer.

as far as the joke being funny. depends on the person...WHICH was the orginal reason for the video

and its on film because when the question was raised i insisted we hold off the explanation until i had a camera to catch what would surely be comical.

Evident from watching. But then I've known 'that guy' myself.

But being 23 allows you to take yourself way more seriously. Give it 7 years, you'll understand then, young man. wink

I used to be just like that though! Then I shifted priorities and became old and bitter! lol smile I'm not really being an ass. This must be what educators see everyday. Idealistic (yes you are) young, bright eyed people. It is kinda fun to watch that cycle everyday.

Yeah. I get what you're saying. Me myself, I don't have any real aspirations. I don't have any drive, anyway. So setting expectations that high for myself is rather null and void, anyway. I'm just a common man. I think SirPsycho has infinite potential, though. I see an artist into art. He's still got his priorities in place too, though (As he made mention to.). He's got a cool confidante, great friends and other acquaintances. He's got people that will keep him in the mind frame of both those dichotomous dimensions of the spectrum. If this cultural connoisseur gig doesn't work out for him, there's really no end to it. Once we find our catharsis in life, we can never turn back. I think that's how it is for SirPsycho. And as for you, you seem wise and very informative. You know your strong suit and you know what works best for you. That's cool. I see myself most likely settling for less because I'm just not all that ambitious. The thought of success from a hierarchical standpoint is almost afflicting to my mind. I couldn't handle it. I'm just....who I am. Still not yet defined. No template in mind that has been set aside for me in quarantined fashion. I'm just who I am within my own personal capacity. And that's.....that's okay. But this isn't about me. So let me just back off. lol

in that case...your problem isn't your expectations, its your sense of self-worth.

(which, as fate may have it, limits your ability to achieve what you truly desire)

the moment you stop verbally shitting on yourself, the universe will take notice and begin to make way for your destined path

believe it or not, thats the crux of it. from personal experience.

i will say this tho (cuz i know its coming)...it's not supposed to be easy to obtain... but nothing worth having is. you only lose when you quit.sappy as that sounds its so true...
