I'm enjoying the darkness with my husband right now! Although we do have the TV and computer on. We're turning off lights, not electricity! LOL!

Everyday is earth day in my house,I only have the lights on in the rooms I am in. it's either that or give more of my money to the city.

I did! Well... we turned everything off before we drove downtown to see how dark the city got. During the hour, we made sure we'd parked and turned the car off in good faith as we ate dinner and people watched from inside the vehicle.

Unfortunately, we got our food from a sushi joint in the Church-Wellesley area of Toronto (the "Gayborhood" for you out-of-towners)... right next to the Stag Shop, a sort of adult toy store. Some male go-go dancer in black hotpants, a leather vest and combat boots hopped up in the shop's front window and started doing his thing. It was innocent and pretty funny at first. He actually had a big crowd of gawkers gathering for awhile and all sorts of folk laughing, snapping photos from the rooftop across the street, etc. It was fun. (And, bless the store, they'd turned most of their lights off.) But then go-go boy got too riske IMHO and we had to bolt before anyone's innocence was forever compromised. I figured that was worth burning a wee bit of gas.

Hell, no. I turned all my lights on - and gave thanks for Ben Franklin, Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, and anyone else who has given us technology that has made the world an easier, cleaner, less disease-ridden place than it was for my forebears.
