i got my naked foot back today!!!!! well, sort of 
i've moved out of the cast (4 1/2 weeks) then to a walking boot (close to 2 weeks) and now, i am in a simple brace - no metal of any kind, just tied and wrapped for support... i am partial weight bearing on crutches, but probably not for to long, its just to get me over the first couple days of walking - soon i will be walking all by myself again 
that's a huge thing since for a month and a half i havent had my leg/foot to myself - i feel whole again 
did a lot for that nasty depression too! i feel quite a bit better today.... One of the best days of my life... http://prince.org/msg/100/291111
