i looooove my ikea bookshelves. i've never been able to have all my books in one space before - they were usually scattered in various small/cheap bookshelves throughout wherever i was living. ikea made it affordable for me to just bite the bullet and get a bunch of big bookshelves and place them all next to each other - et voila - i have a library!

ooooh check this out!

combine $1056.95 worth of Ikea EXPEDIT shelves to build this awesome megashelf -- if you're a sucker for the wall o'books.

wall o' records!! mad

I need to do that. I was looking at the tall IKEA shelves and they said something about having to attach them to the wall - have you had to do that?

We got a really cheap sofa from Ikea, and it's the only thing I truly don't like. Looks nice, and seems fairly comfortable until 20 minutes into a TV show you realize you are crippled. PLus the cover always comes loose & gets all rumpled confused

Klippan nod
I found one on the nature strip - like new! -it's in my office biggrin

Is it uncomfortable for you? I feel like maybe I'm too tall for it.

Nothing about that couch has ever looked particularly comfortable to me. lol
It seems made for short-term seating (waiting room?). I've considered the ones that look similar but are pull out beds for a guest room in the past, only because no one ever really just sits in a guest room.

you need a couple of cushions, sometimes I lie and read on it. I'm not very tall, so it's OK. Mainly the kids come and sit there in the evenings to do their readers.
