Now i'm safely in my 30's i'm trying to weigh up who i dislike the most, so i've made some observations:

Teens -

Ignorant of other people, the news and what goes on in the world.Would rather play on the playstation forever than ever read a book.

Rude to people when they are offered good advice (as above).

Think it's big and clever to get drunk and consume as much alcohol as possible on a night out.

Surly (hormones)

zitty (ditto)

Vandals - cause they're bored and smashing up things gives them "something to do"

Thugs - when they congregate together and hang on street corners waiting for old ladies and their handbags to come by.

Noisy - at the expense of other people's welfare and wishes.

Leach off society and they're parents.


or...

Old People.

Know everything that ever happened in the world, ever.Can never be wrong.

Too slow at walking, constantly get in your way when you're walking, always moan about everything and things are never as good as they remember.

Have telephones even though they can never hear you speaking to them."whaaat? can you speak up? i'm a little deaf!"

scared of technology and 'changes'

most are still backwards and will remain so, when it comes to 'minorities'.

Make themslves vulnerable to teens on street corners.

at first glance i thought it said 'teen people' vs old 'people' ...i thought it was a topic about magazines...

They piss me off equally:

Teens because of the majority of their attitudes
Old People (70 yrs +) because they can't drive worth a shit

I love old people and old people love me. Teens are too spoiled these days and they think the world owes them everything.

once you turn 75 you should be forced into a retirement home where people younger can make sure you don't piss yourself/that u shower/don't leave the stove turned on/remember to put in your teeth before trying to kiss younger relatives...etc


once you turn 85 and don't remember who your family is...as a matter of fact don't remember who u are...you should be allowed to die a peaceful death...on a private island donated by the goverment waaayyy off the coast with all the other people who are older than dirt...


i'm not really serious here!!! i work in a call center and noone...i mean noone annoys me more than the elderly...sorry to say it but u asked...
BUT
i never lose my patience with them...i am always polite...
and if any old lady/old gent ever needs help across the street they can count on me (no...i would NOT put them in the way of on coming traffic!!!)

i am 16, and I will say right off the bat, that I ammuch more annoyed by Teenagers. really, we act like we know more then everyone, when our generation is nothing but spoiled corporate idiots who just bitch. old people annoy me and all, but maybe it is becasue I am in more contact with teens that I can't stand them!

Some of y'all are getting old, thus you are annoyed at what you once were in many aspects. Don't even try to deny it!

If we live long enough we'll get old too and complain about people who are our age now, PLUS the teenagers. Then the teens, 20somethings and 30somethings will complain about us. Such is the cycle of generations.

I say all this to say; when I think about it ... teens annoy me too.

But probably not for the same reasons I've read here.

Only if their parents are pieces of shit and don't beat the hell out of them for thinking about consuming as much alcohol as possible on a night out. I don't think it's "big" nor "clever" to be drunk. You can find people your age who think it's "big and clever" anyhow. So that's surely not just a teen problem.

I was going to say I've never vandalized anything, but that would be a lie. However, I've only ever vandalized one thing. A desk in English I. I carved in the score of every Duke game that year starting in early February. I put up the score, the opponent, and how many points Shane Battier had. Oh, and somewhere in the middle it says "Go Duke!"

Explain to me how a teen leaches off their society. You don't have teenagers running around getting foodstamps and welfare checks (unless their parents do).

Parents, yeah, we all need a little $$ sometimes. However, I make most of my own money, and I don't like to spend it. Nor do I like to spend my father's. There is an over-whelming feeling of guilt when I ask for $10 just so I can eat during a band trip. He offers me money more than I ask for. Not every kid can get a job, anyhow...

...Nor do I think every kid should have to get a job. It's our time to be young and without financial worries. We have a whole life ahead of us to do that. Not to mention, if a parent pops out a kid, they should be prepared to accept the expenses that come along with it.

Anyhow, don't roll all "teens" into one little thing like that. It's really an unfair stereotype. Just because you see one kid acting like a hoodlum doesn't mean all kids are hoodlums.

teens annoy me at times...when they use swear words non-stop in public because they think it makes them seem more adult.

I got a soft spot in my heart for old folks, I dig them (unless they're crowding the streets or the grocery store, lol).

Teens, on the other hand, are a mess. It's not really their fault since teens are a littl dumb anyway & the ills of the world only make it that much worse. But they're so HAPPY to fuck up - being LOUD & causing ruckus everywhere they go, fighting, just making sure that their presence is KNOWN all the time is so annoying. They can't simply shop in a mall, they gotta travel in loud, hogging the aisle, giggly, ready to cuss you out PACKS. That thriving to BE (even if it's being rude) & lack of subtlety is friggin' annoying...

I Like Both Age Groups.I always thought Older People were the Coolest People on the Planet though Personally because I enjoyed Stories about how things were&I learned so much.Being a Teen had it's Advantages&Disadvantages:you were finding out things&Felt Unstoppable&that is a Advantage.but on the Disadvantage side:Peer Pressure&going through Real Life Drama can make you grow up sooner than you like.I think Teens now though got it Easier&Harder.Easier because the Materialistic Element is alot more easier too obtain&also they can't get No Ass Whoopings like we use too get without the Po-PO cracking down on the parents.but the Disadvantage is that Teens today have too really deal with Life&Death Situations when it comes too Sex&Other Pressures even more extreme than when I was coming along.it all depends on who you encounter.Age never mattered too me it's always been the Person.

We think that doing things that adults can do, make us adults:
If I walk in the city on a saturday evening, I can see 12 year olds drinking and smoking.. One day a 10 year old boy asked me for some tobacco..
In a party, where a friend of mine was, there was a 14 year old girl having sex with a 17 year old boy in a bathroom...
A girl I knew of had a baby when she was in the 6th grade..

We're horrible vandals.. Some idiots went and broke a day-care center window, where I was working.
A 16 year old boy blew up a bomb and killed 7 people..

And the swearing.. Here, every third word the teens say is fu*k, sh*t or cu*t..!

No wonder we piss everyone off..
