When I was five. My parents brought me to the hospital. I was very sick with boils and pleurisy (something to do with the lungs), and a bunch of other things so I was told by my mom. I was also delirious.
My mother told me they (my parents) almost lost me meaning I almost died I remember waking up in a hospital bed with about 8 doctors in white coats standing round at the foot of my bed. I want to know... this is the best way i can explain this : ok, so imagine you* have a baby laying on her back on your* lap (*this would be my sister)with her head resting between the points of your knees (the head is almost hanging down) my dad would be facing my sister, he would take my head in his hands, stretch my neck out slowly and then twist my head (each side once) until my face was completely facing the floor... i squirmed and was uncomfortable, but according to the doctor who prescribed this therapy to me, i didn't feel any pain. see.. my dad used to watch me as i slept, he was very weary of my health, and i really thank God for having him do that he can sometimes be really keen on picking up small details (which is where i get it from) and he noticed that my face was slightly twisted, which prompted him to take me to the doctor and that's where it all started... he said he nearly killed the doctor when he was showing him how to do it the doctor said if my dad hadn't noticed that, my face would be noticeably twisted today (like badly twisted)... all now i can turn my head farther back left than i can right youredit. Maybe. When I was 11 or 12, I was choked so hard I passed out. What I remember is feeling all peaceful, and in a dreamlike state seeing what looked like a train or subway full of people stop at the station, the doors slide open and I was about to board the train when I suddenly heard a far away voice call my name, I stopped and turned. I woke up all relaxed and confused wondering why I was laying on the floor and why was this person shaking me so hard screaming in my ear, then I remembered being choked. To this day I always wonder what would have happened if I'd ignored that voice and actually boarded that train and the doors closed.

That's freaky...reminds me of a movie I watched....something about a guy or boy dying and boarding a train full of dead people. unlucky7 reincarnated

Yes quite a few. I'll list only 3.
1. 10 years ago a friend was driving, I was on the passenger side and she missed a Stop Sign and we were hit by a semi trailer mack truck. We were sucked under and spat out. The car then rolled but we all walked away unharmed apart from major bruising and whiplash. 2. 4 years ago I was driving towards the exit of the staff car park at work and another car went through the Give Way sign at over 80km and hit me drivers side. The airbag exploded in my face and my car rolled and hit 3 parked cars before stopping 20 metres away from the impact site. I was unconscious and rushed to hospital but was okay. 3. 8 years ago on the operating table during surgery my pressure dropped dramatically and I flatlined for a few seconds. After surgery I had to remain in ICU for awhile. In all scenarios I never did see my life flash before my eyes, and when I was told I had flatlined during surgery I couldn't recall seeing anything. No bright lights. No tunnels. Nothing...but darkness.

LOL yah had bad luck with car accidents and I was never at fault. I seriously don't know how some drivers pass their driving exam, perhaps they got their licence from a box of cereal. I suppose as for seeing just darkness maybe it wasn't my time, one day though we will all know what's beyond life..

1. on the day i was born.. all contractions stopped and i was still inside
they had to push externally on my moms stomache..could have suffocated.. they broke a collar bone R. shoulder, that they didn't catch til a month later..they had to break it again to reset.. 2. at 10 i was bike riding with my brother and we were free riding downhill going pretty fast! on a trip down,i lost direction on a turn and slammed into a tree head first, dragging the bike with me..it was stuck on me and when it came loose took a couple of chunks out of my thigh..the doctor's told my mom and dad that i shouldn't be alive...11 stitches 2 broken bones 2 black eyes(that caused teasing)and a concussion..i remember parts of the events, none of the ER tho my mom said i was awake the whole time 3. at 17, on my 17th birthday..hemmorraging after birthing my first son..it was a month after his birth, and the first period, but something hadn't healed right.. i remember being cold and tired at one point before i said anything to anyone and i was going to go to bed..(i lived in a group home at the time)a last visit to the bathroom convinced me to tell an adult, and they freaked out at the hospital, they sent me to the mediacal arts building, the doctor there walked six or seven steps in the room looked at me and sent me back to the hospital, who tried to send me back!! the student doctor on duty had NEVER seen this before,so he kinda freaked out in the end a shot and some rest for a while..i told one of the docs that i was just gonna go to bed, because i was tired and cold..he looked at me and said 'it's a good thing you didn't,you would not have woke up.. i've almost died twice on the day i was born... 'why y'all trying to say goodbye? I didn't go anywhere, I'm right here, im all around you,always..'
in a line from my dream, I heard a voice and saw a silhouette in a chair..

iight so its 10th grade.
After school me.. my bestfriend and our boyfriends went to this park that was about 3 blocks away from our school. We always went there everyday so the guys could play basketball and the girls played handball. Anyway, we get there one day and this homeless guy is laying on the bench that we usually put our stuff on. We saw him so we went a few benches down and sat there. 5 minutes go by and dude wakes up. He stares us down. For what, i dont know lol. But he got up and left the park. About 10 mins later, my best friend and I was about to get up and go play handball when this huge fuckin brick came over my head. i felt the wind from it. It landed a few inches from my feet. I turned around to see the homeless man with another one about to throw it We got up from the bench and yelled for my boyfriend. The homeless guy dropped the brick and ran cuz the guys ran out the park to whoop his ass.

This thread is interesting to me because just about 3 wks-a month ago, my mom was in the hospital after a surgery and her blood pressure and blood sugar dropped so low that she became unresponsive. For awhile it was thought she'd maybe suffered a stroke (luckily she hadn't).
She told me that during the period of time she was 'out' and the doctors and nurses were trying to awaken her or get some kind of response from her, that she wasn't in her body. She said it was like she was standing leaning up against the wall on the other side of the room, watching what everything that was going on; she could see the medical personnel, the rest of the room, even herself lying on the bed, and could hear them asking her to raise her arm or open or eyes. I asked what emotions she felt during this experience: peaceful, happy, etc? and she said mainly she just felt frustrated at 'herself' on the bed because she wouldn't (couldn't) do what was being asked of her, like saying something or wiggling her toes or her finger. She said she never saw or heard anything else, such as a bright light or another voice speaking to her or anything, just what was happening in the room. She said the next thing she was aware of, she was back in her body and coming around to consciousness in another hospital room.

I nearly drowned when I was 9 or 10 in my friend's pool. I was sitting in one of those inflatable pool things , flipped over, and got caught under it. Not fun.
Shortly after I got my driver's license, I was driving home from school and I was coming up to a red light...I stepped on the brake and nothing happened. My brakes failed and I kept going, straight into the intersection. I don't remember much, but I broke various bones. I'm alive though

I have been with a lot of folks as they die, and in the process of it, from weeks to months, to years. There have been many times where it was blatantly evident there was communication going on from both sides in effort to "prepare" the person for death.
Pretty cool, actually.

I remember the moment that I stepped on the brake and it was soo loose, which was crazy since it worked just fine a few minutes before this happened. It just went all the way down and my car kept moving. I just stopped breathing at that point. Really scary. I didn't drive for quite some time after that.
