A little backround. When my Dad was in the military he purchased Savings Bonds,but apparently not as many as he had thought. Anyway..when his first wife(not my Mother),and him divorced,she was sure that he had taken her HS Diploma with him,and therefore kept his Savings Bonds,and refused to return them until he returned her Diploma. Problem was my Dad did'nt have it. My Mom had tried to get them reissued before,but was unable to find the right contacts to get it done. A few months ago my Dad brought them up again,and so I got on the computer,and started poking around. I filled out,and printed a form,and sent it to the Department Of Treasury. Today they sent a letter with a list of all the Bonds Serial Numbers. . They all matured in the 90's,so now I have to help me fill out another form so that he can claim the money.
