What are the characteristics of a highly effective thread? So many threads fall into oblivion without notice, especially mine.

I don't know. i suffer the same fate as you with threads.Next time maybe try "what's your favourite colour and why?" or "Coke Vs Pepsi".
Threads like that are both highly original and thought-provoking, and seem to get alot of responses.  | |
