I'm soooo sick!!! Ever since I got back from Mexico I have been so ill!!!! Has this happened to anyone else? How long should I wait until I go see a doctor?
I don't wanna be graphic here...I started taking probiotics last night and eating yogurt to see if it would help my tummy. It's been almost a week of feeling like this and I can't take it anymore! Damn Mexican food  | |

I've looked online to see what I can do but haven't gotten a clear answer to how long I should wait before going to see a doctor. Most docs won't prescribe antibiotics for a few weeks after symptoms start. I thought I'd try the home remedies first. | |

If I became ill after a vacation I would go to the doctor. Especially coming from Mexico to rule out a parasite worm, dengue fever and other stuff. Would rather be safe than wait till something major happens. Call your doctor and see if they recommend you coming in?

Take care of that love. I even get that when I go down there. I was thinking the exact same thing. My mom had that when she came back from Mexico a while back. She was pretty sick, but once she went to the doctor and got meds, she started feeling a lot better.

The last time I got it, it was probably for around 3 days. The trick is, going to the doctor while you're in Mexico. If you do, you'll get better in a couple of hours. Carrie Lee....I went to Cancun years ago and will never go anywhere in Mexico again. I don't even eat any Mexican Food really anymore. I was VERY SICK also. The only thing that works for DIAHERIA is IMMODIUM. LOADS of WATER. Ya know their water and Fruits and Vegatables are CONTAMINATED with the WATER. I just can't STOMACH the HEAT or SPICES. I can't eat MEXICAN ANYMORE. Get well SOON..... [Edited 3/17/09 10:38am] | |
