Wonder Woman Cartoon Movie

http://warnervideo.com/wo...omanmovie/

Keri Russell Princess Diana of Themyscira/Diana Prince/Wonder Woman
Nathan Fillion Steve Trevor
Alfred Molina Ares
Rosario Dawson Artemis
Marg Helgenberger Hera
Oliver Platt Hades
Virginia Madsen Hippolyta
Skye Arens Little Girl
John DiMaggio Deimos
Julianne Grossman Etta Candy
Vicki Lewis Persephone
David McCallum Zeus
Jason Miller Thrax/Gang Leader
Rick Overton Slick/The President of the United States of America
Andrea Romano President's Advisor
Tara Strong Alexa
Bruce Timm Attacker

I gave myself this for my birthday and I've watched it twice since and all I've got say is it's nothing short of Amazing. It's from the Producers of the JLA cartoon, and comes with two episodes of that feature the Amazing Amazon. It's based on the source material of Phil Jimenez reboot of Wonder Woman in Wonder Woman Vol 2 Issue # 1 in Feb of 1987. There are few alterations such as Hippolyta having an affiar with Ares instead of Heracles and no mention of Diana Trevor or the Kapatelis Family. The action scenes are brilliant and if this film was the basis of a live aciton movie I think it would make a great film. It also features some insider info on another movie Justice League:The New Frontier which will feature the voice of Lucy Lawless as Diana of Themyscira! I still think it should be Lucy as Diana in the movie and Lynda Carter as Hippolyta.

the new frontier movie is already out, and it's amazing. it's not just one of the best superhero cartoons i've ever seen, it's one of the best animated features i've ever seen. the whole thing is done in a "space-age vegas" retro style, and the story is just incredibly original and fun.

i strongly recommend it to anyone who likes anything, and the people who love them.

it's a couple specials on the history of wonder woman and the mythology of wonder woman and two JLA cartoons.

is it worth seeking out? i like watching those featurettes usually, but not if it's just a couple of 6 minute fluff pieces.

yeah, the WW i got from netflix had the green lantern feature. it looked kinda cool, though i've never been a big green lantern fan (other than those early 70s comics where he got all "social conscience" and deep). i'll probably netflix it when it comes out.

they're cool! i can dig 80s comics, but 90s comics suffered from butt-ugly art and stupid writing. current comics seem to have much better art, but most of the writing feels very lost to me. 70s comics still have the whimsy of old-timey funnybooks, but they're just *starting* to realize they can be dark and sophisticated. i love that combo.

That brought a tear to my eye, it's so dead-on right.

The Green Lantern movie looks pretty darn cool too. It's going to be a Training Day-esque storyline where GL gets trained by the GL Corps' best guy, Sinestro. And I think Christopher Meloni will make a good GL. I'm liking that.

Is that over Chris Meloni or the plot? For me, it's both.

I know. He made prison look like a fantasy come true. I wouldn't mind if they put him in the live-action GL movie they're doing too.

i even sat through all of that stupid gym teacher movie on nickelodeon because of his hot equine ass. (okay, maybe it helped that amy sedaris was in it also - in the movie, that is - not in meloni's ass.)

I ordered this on OnDemand, and I have to say it's just okay. Maybe I need to watch it again to really appreciate it, but it didn't knock me down like I was hoping it would. I know I couldn't see them making a series off of this only because WW's rogue gallery is relatively weak. They'd have to start creating some mythical characters/villians to even have a real "season", but I'd definitely be willing to give it a whirl if they started one.

I did dig the battle scenes. Pretty graphic for the JLA, and I hope they keep heading in that direction for any future releases/projects.

The New Fontier was cool because it the dawn of superheros. People only heard of them but didn't really see them. Superman worked with the government/President secretly and Batman was underground and sneeking around. Great movie to bring out the heroes of th '40s. I didn't like what the story was revolving around, but still enjoyed the animation and origins. This was mainly revolving around GL.

They should have used Kevin Conroy's voice as Batman. The person they used didn't fit. I have all the vol. of Batman and Batman Beyond and those are great.

yeah, the "big bad" of the story was kinda lame, but it was kinda neither here nor there. it didn't take away from the great character development or the whole "retro" concept of the story. it just seemed like something they felt needed to be in the story to tie it all together at the end. i loved the whole martian manhunter story, and the part in vegas with the flash.
