NFL: Broncos QB Jay Cutler wants Out! Jets Interested

Fuck T.O., the Cutler situation in Denver is the biggest story of the off-season.

I wish the Bears would pick him up; we haven't had a quarterback with any real impact since...ever. (Actually, we had Sid Luckman, but that was during the 1940's, so really, we've never had a really good quarterback.) Jim McMahon was probably the best QB we had since then, but despite his punky cockiness he was quite prone to injury. Mike Tomczak and Jim Harbaugh had their best years away from Mike Ditka and the Bears, and both Erik Kramer and Jim Miller, while promising at times, got hurt too easily. Kyle Orton isn't too bad, but Jay Cutler has far more skills than either Orton or Rex Grossman.

This time around, I think the Chicago Bears may actually try to pick him up, but I don't think they have enough decent players and/or draft picks to compensate Denver for his services. Tampa Bay wants in, too, but they're in the same position as the Bears. Detroit could at least give Denver the number one draft pick, but I don't know if Cutler wants to go to another rebuilding experience. The Jets would be an awesome fit for Cutler, as they already have a fairly decent team that was on the verge of being in the playoffs and they could build around hime for a long time.

Don't forget the Vikes...although I don't believe we have enough to get him...didn't stop KC from getting Cassell..but we have no inside guy here...I guess we'll all find out soon enough if this is all gonna go down...

I think he will wind up with the Jets, Bucs, or Lions. The fucking cry baby deserves to go to the Lions.
If you're not doing the fucking, then you're taking one.

I agree with you...but the last thing we need in Minnesota...is to have to play that fuckin' guy twice a year... it's bad enough we have to face Aaron Rodgers twice a season...the Vikes need a quality QB...like NOW!

I understand why Cutler's pissed off - the coach and GM handled this the wrong way. But someone needs to read this kid the hard facts of life - the NFL's a cold-blooded business and he ain't John Elway. If he goes to NYC or Chi-town, he'd better grow up REAL fast, otherwise the media/fans will eat him alive.

Am I the only one that thinks he's not as great as it seems he thinks he is? I know the probowl and all that shit, I'm not saying he sucks.....but refusal to show up? Like you said, it's not like he's Elway.

Yep, most of the callers to WFAN want him. He may be a big baby, but he's better than what the Jets have at QB.

If he wants to win, he'll go to Tampa.

Who's he gonna throw to?

I will say that the North may be appealing from the standpoint of there being no real dominant teams there. But Tampa has arguably, the best young offensive line in football. Derrick Ward and Ernest Graham in the backfield. And Antonio Bryant, Michael Clayton and now Kellen Winslow catching passes. All they have to do now is lock up the deep threat (Jeremy Maclin) they seem intent on having and that offense becomes explosive. Top 10 defense, notwithstanding.

Yeah, I'm a Buc homer. razz

Yes you are....and that's cool....but we have a deep threat (Berrian) and we have a few young guys that are overdue to break out...that's not where Cutler would even be necessary...we need a QB that will keep defenses honest..we have AP...we are going to move the ball and score...but with no QB back there...defenses throw 8 or 9 guys in the box...a "decent" QB will shred any defense that does that...we don't currently have that guy...if we did...we'd be very dangerous...and our defense too is getting to be a top 10 defense...

Cutler definitely makes AP that much more dangerous (as if he wasn't already). But I'm fairly certain Cutler doesn't wanna go to Minny to handoff to Peterson. And I still say the Vikes receivers are average. Get a number one guy and the offense becomes more attractive to a whiner like Cutler.

We won't be getting a better receiver anytime soon...this is who we have at the moment...Torry Holt maybe....who knows...maybe another guy will come along...but we can win with these receivers...we need a legitimate QB and the Vikes will be awesome..
