Jersey...i am in the same boat. Have always had insomnia...even back in hiogh school. as soon as i hit the pillow my mind goes a mile a minute...i have tried all kinds of meds & am on restoril for a few yrs..i STILL cant sleep. last 4 wks ive been up till 4am.

i get so angry at myself b/c i cant stop thinking about stuff at the most inapropriate times. duh

a few things that help are watching a dvd..i have a small portable i watch in bed.

dont eat before bed..(i get heartburn & pee alot)

what about a mild anti-anxiety pill? maybe a valium?
