I went! And I ran! And I kept up! (I was totally not the slowest or most out of shape person in class.) And I didn't fall down or have a heart attack or anything! I'm gonna be a runner by the summer. Proud Memaw to Seyhan Olivia Christine ,Zoey Cirilo Jaylee & Ellie Abigail Lillian

IMO stretching is mucho important-especially during ur longer runs i tried running, but my shins KILL me To make a thief, make an owner; to create crime, create laws.

I started running last year for the first time in 10 years. I started too hard for my first run and ran for 6 miles. I couldn't walk for 4 days afterwards. Well worth it - keep it up. I quit in August. I'm 7 months smoke free. And thanks! Yay Carrie!!! The Borg... Partypoopers of the galaxy.. ( Medical Hologram )

What kind of shoes are you sporting? I bought some last night after class! I tried on about 6 or 7 pair of shoes. They are Nike+ and I think they're ugly. In general I think most athletic shoes are yucky. But I felt like I was running on pillows when I tried them out, so I coughed up the money. They're mostly white with a red swoosh and some white and grey detailing. |

Congrats Carrie. You'll become addicted soon.
I love working out, but I don;t run. I don;t like the monotony of it, but I hope it workd for you! and it gives you an excuse to buy work out clothes.

Bad shoes will make your form bad and make you not want to run at all If you will, so will I

mine always hurt in the front, my shins. i dunno why. but its very unpleasant. [Edited 3/16/09 18:41pm] No, not at all. I can feel it a bit in my knees now that you mention it, but I didn't when I was running. My ankle was a bit sore (I sprained it a week and a half ago) but only towards the end. I wore a brace on it. I'm actually excited to continue my training. Yay! Running is awesome. And very addicting. Once you start doing it, it's actually very easy to keep it up and do it regularly.
