Well, they're cancelling my favorite show!

I cannot believe ABC is ending "Life On Mars." The cast is top-notch and I think the network was stupid to put it on after "Lost." That show already has viewers that are hooked on the time-manipulation gimmick, so I'm not sure why they thought it was a good idea to follow with another one. Why can't they move the show to a different night to try ratings out?

There's an online petition I signed yesterday, but I doubt it will help. Maybe ABC stands for "Always Being Cancelled," since they seem to never keep a good show on! Maybe the show will get picked-up by another network or something.

Is anyone else a fan of "Life on Mars"?

Well I never watched this show, but the really interesting somewhat off-beat shows that aren't a carbon copy of every other show on tv always get cancelled. And ABC is NOTORIOUS for cancelling those types. They make me sick with that

It looked interesting but I never watched it. Sorry they're canceling it on you. I know the producer said there would be a clear ending that resolved everything, so at least they won't leave all the questions hanging.

By the way, the people behind the original British program are making a new show with a similar theme, about a woman who wakes up in the '80s. So if you get BBC America, you might find a new show to replace this one.

It hasn't even made it here yet. The dumbass people who decide what shows to bring here can bring the 13264th season of "Oprah" but not decent drama shows. disbelief

They're cancelling it because it truly sucked nod They tried to be too authentically 70's, down to the writing & the goofy chase music whofarted I love the idea & the nostalgia, BUT it has to feel current SOMEWHERE & they couldn't quite figure out where. Once I realized there was no possibility that he'd come back to present day (even for moments) I stopped watching. The lead character isn't a strong enough draw, Gretchen Mol was absolutely useless, there wasn't enough Keitel/Imperioli & when they were on their lines were LAME. Great idea to rip off from BBC (yet again!), terrible execution. They just never caught a rhythm. & that show must have cost a fortune to produce disbelief
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

That too was called Life on Mars. It was so sucessful that they ran another series of it called Ashes to Ashes - set in the 80's, with the same police crew but a female lead.

The Gene Genie is the man!
