I believe this all came about because of the thread by Zilera claiming she was abused.

I am willing to bet a hundred dollars that MRGee is not Zelaira. I remember Zelaira. She was crazy, random and hilarious, but she was never a troll or abusive.

This person's posts absolutely reek of several other alter accounts I can remember, and I'm fairly positive it's a TROLL.

Fair enough, then it came out of the MRgee post

It did, and I'm not sure why I got so peeved over it....

It happened to Mysterioso when he first came along too, and I thought he was very bright and entertaining. Yet, a lot of people treated him like shit right off the bat. Why?

People have zero tolerance for "different" thread posting which surprises me considering how many people don't even read posts lol

See, I disagree. We were busting Mysterioso's balls, and I'm pretty sure he understood that and went with it. MRGee is an alter and a baiter, and I posted on the abuse thread cause I felt like it. I ignored all his other threads. myfavorite's posts are pretty hard to understand sometimes to which I've posted a "huh?"

How is any of that treating posters badly?

This is the case, though I certainly appreciate GetAwayFromMe's concern on the matter. She's cool with me, truthfully. Nothing wrong with being diligent. Meow85 is diligent and I still find her hot-in-the-drawz! wink

Okayyy.

Assuming I couldn't give a f*ck what all of you have to say abt me biggrin..the Org can be harsh to some ppl (new ppl or ppl like MrGee, Gold, Desiree etc)

If you take the time to dig a little deeper everyone has some good vibes (and yes i did hug some trees today rolleyes )

Karla has a point in her thread so does other peeps that claim to not give a damn (it's just the internet and a silly forum, right? neutral .)

Young lads, old farts (like me) EVERYONE should have the chance to express themselves.
Who cares that Alej and others young orgers say: otay and use their slang confused
falloff my son just read what I am typing and told me to stop trying to to be cool falloff
It's the diversity that makes me come back to this shithole everytime biggrin

there are newbies all the time that feel they are excluded, that we are all one big clique hell-bent on excluding them. They just don't post enough, or have orgnames with hard to remember numbers or no avvie (pet hate of mine pissed ) who whine about cliques instead of making a mark with intelligent/weird/cool posts.

Yeah, but my point is who the fuck are YOU to decide whether someone else's posts are intelligent or cool? Are you the judge and jury here? Why aren't the new people encouraged instead of harassed?

I've absolutely never harassed anyone confuse and I am in no way for harrassment. If I find someone like-minded, I am drawn to them, newbie or not. That is how people make friends, IRL too. There are also many of the perceived clique members I feel no affinity with and don't interact with them - I might ignore them, but never would I harass anyone. I've stood up for folks on here when I felt they were being attacked neutral

I've started friendships with MANY new orgers - ones that I felt a connection with. I don't go around in real life making an effort to make friends with people that I have nothing in common with, or are obnoxious or not interested in interacting - I don't have the energy to be friends with everyone, and nor do I have the energy to expend on maintaining enemies, nor on being rude and defensive. I'm pretty shy, so I'd say my interactions on this board are pretty true to my real life character.

And the answer to your question on deciding who is cool or intelligent, yes, each individual needs to make these choices on their own (I know I do) if a persons posts speak to me, they make sense and reveal a part of their nature that I might admire or aspire to, then yes I do make that judgement, on cool - I'd say the same - someone with my absurd sense of humour is immediately cool in my book. I do this on my own, with no help from the cult wave

but isn't it normal for a group of friends to list their friends as their friends? not people they don't know? hmmm or you mean that people perceive certain orgers to be cool and their own desire to be cool will make them list those orgers over say, orgers they would probably be better suited to in terms of common interests? (say it isn't so confused )

I agree. Some people think posting three or four times with 'Anyone else like Taco Bell?' and 'My cat died. Prayers please' entitles them to legendary status.

Well, a lot more than sometimes. What is the deal with the public humiliation of individuals here? Why the gang mentality? I can handle one on one arguments, but I get really pissed off when I see several people attacking one person. Why is this necessary? It's unfair and majorly high school shit.

Can't we just accept that different people are going to be posting here, and that no one is "wrong" in what they write? Why is it so difficult to accept differences in personality?

And there you have it. According to that I would be a part of cliques of orgers who don't get along at all. Some of my best org friends hate each other with a passion so to speak. Just because you are friends with certain orgers does not make you part of a clique.

smile nod That's true...But, for the most part, Orgers will call out - for anyone interested - their clique.

The same names will come up quite often. So on such a thread should I lie about who I get on with here, who makes me laugh, who I've interacted with most and connected with, simply because lots of other people might also feel the same way about many of the same orgers? lol

Some people are just instantly easy to like. If they post quite a bit they're bound to end up being well-liked here. Others are quieter, post less, or are less suited to an internet forum as far as their personality or writing style (in terms of popular appeal). Are we obligated to read all threads of all orgers or are we free to choose which topics interest us or are started by people we find likable? It is what it is and I don't think it's sinister. smile
