I used to be all or nothing and it made me miserable. I gave everything for what I wanted and it threw me way out of balance. I went into debt, lost an ability to have a social life...

I AM MUCH HAPPIER BEING A REGULAR DRONE. biggrin

'All or Nothing' person ! In life, I am passionate and totally involved in a project / my work / my hobbies And with love and relationships, - passion, excitement, to be loved and to give love

'Middle of the Road' kind of person, I am happy to compromise, feel content, have no drama, no complaints,

I am a bit of everything mentioned and I like it that way

All or nothing with the big things in life, but probably generally more middle of the road with most things. I like a dull, contented, drama-free life 99% of the time, but occasionally I'll be glad for some drama and a bit of a challenge to keep me on my toes - something I have to put all my effort into for a while in order to pull through. smile

and I think each thing applied appropriately, for example the amount of effort for end result should kind of match

Like my dad's cousin

he was having a yard sale, but on his way down the stairs the night before, he dropped 2 jigsaw puzzles, and then he and his son were up until 4 in the morning, doing the puzzles so they could be put back in each respective box, and were unable to sell them anyway even for 20 cents, because he'd written "one piece missing" on the box nutty instead of putting them all in one bag and saying 2 jigsaw puzzles, only $1
That was a lot of effort for NO GAIN, and he's like that with everything dead

I am definately all or nothing
if I want a man....it is all or nothing...nothing in between...none of this friends with benfits crap.
But when I am angry...nothing can stop the all or nothing....you get the wrath (the ALL) and get crushed or out of my life forever.

I am passionate on how I love and firey in distaste.

Well, if you don't mind me saying it comes down to embracing things.

It is exciting to go all out, run fast, think fast and act fast, live on the edge. That is the great adrenaline/endorphine part of it that we thrive on. However there is a down side, sometimes things go tits up, sometimes one gets hurt, falls flat..etc. however we cant have the one without the other so we have to embrace that chance, in fact sometimes it is the chance of failure/getting hurt that makes us feel alive. The closeness of death or pain is what makes it so much fucking fun. Unfortunately until one realises that one is not really ready for the chase hug

That is SO not how I want to live my life. lol I don't need to get close to death to appreciate life.

I think we all have our own way of looking at things.

That reminds me of some of my favorite Pulp lyrics: biggrin

"I was having a whale of a time until
your uncle Psychosis arrived.
Why do we have to half kill ourselves just to prove we're alive?
I'm here whenever you need me & whenever you need me I won't be here."

because for me, that statement rings true.
