I did it!

So, tonight was my first running class.

I went!

And I ran!

And I kept up! (I was totally not the slowest or most out of shape person in class.)

And I didn't fall down or have a heart attack or anything!

I'm gonna be a runner by the summer. woot!

No, not at all. I can feel it a bit in my knees now that you mention it, but I didn't when I was running.

My ankle was a bit sore (I sprained it a week and a half ago) but only towards the end. I wore a brace on it.

I'm actually excited to continue my training. Yay!

You're already a runner!!!

woot!

I ran yesterday, too. sweet had recommended that I run slower to run farther and to give my calves a break. And, it worked -- I did!

woot! Yay for all the Org runners.

Yeah, I really like how they train here. We walked for two minutes then ran for one and repeated that cycles 6 times (and we do this at least 2 more times this week). Next week we run one, walk one, and then we increase the run time each week (with one minute walk intervals) over 10 weeks.

They're all about the run/walk.

Do you smoke?

I started running last year for the first time in 10 years. I started too hard for my first run and ran for 6 miles. I couldn't walk for 4 days afterwards. smile

Well worth it - keep it up.

Me too - my brothers were both excellent athletes and I got dragged to every bloody race, in ALL weathers and so I rebelled - I bloody HATE running.
