 Wow. When was the last time we had back-to-back Friday the 13ths?
As for plans, I dunno. After school, I may take my daughter swimming, or we might get all fabulous and dressed up and go set downtown on fire.   Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I have a face full of stitches so I'm cloistering myself away in my apartment.
I'm cleaning and watching a lot of dvds, probably getting more of my music on my iPod. ho hum. |

I get my new big ass sectional couch tomorrow!
Other than that, my brother's girlfriend is staying over tonight - poor girl spends too many days alone. Then for the rest of the weekend we'll probably just hang out with my little man, do a little shopping, go for dinner, that kinda thing. | |

Today I have a writing assignment that's all about Friday the 13th of October, 1307, when the Knights Templar were rounded up and arrested, and which some say is the reason Friday the 13th is considered unlucky.

Nah, just kidding. I had two moles removed. One from my chin, one from next to my nose. They were the deep underground kind, so they punched them out with a hole puncher basically and three stitches in each are pulling my skin back together again. The stitches are ugly. I can cover them with band-aids but then I have a face full of band-aids. So either way you've got people looking at you and/or asking questions. So I'm avoiding the public as much as possible until I get them out. |

Tonight I celebrate a friends birthday. Tomorrow night we celebrate mine...again.
I also have a funeral to go to tomorrow afternoon. Yuck. Other than that just trying not to fall on my face again. Oh and maybe look for another bartending gig. | |

I'm going to finish out my last hour at work...then go home and make a dress. (I'm trying to get a jump on the Summer of Cute Dresses I've planned.)
Tomorrow, I'm getting my zipper fixed (hair colored and cut) and having an early dinner/drinks with a friend. Beyond that, it'll be more sewing and some cooking and cleaning. The weather's supposed to be nice...so maybe I'll buy a pair of sandals, too. You know...get ready for spring. Then again, if I buy sandals, it'll probably snow for the next month. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. | |
