when I heard this on the news this morning, those were my exact thoughts....this world and its inhabitants can be cruel and unforgiving...

I still believe the good outweighs the bad....

such a terrible tragedy, I feel for the victims families and friends...

Let's be fair here. School shootings are still a rarity, much less than house fires, but we don't dwell on house fires. This is about the fact that it was on Tv and we could see the sadness and insanity from the comfort of our homes.

19 guns. Fucking 19 of them. The gun he used was apparently a Beretta revolver that his father kept in the bedroom without having it locked up. Reportedly 100 bullets were missing from the father's arsenal and 60 casings were found at the scene. Ergo he reloaded the revolver 9 times before he left the school but 40 bullets were found so he obviously had planned on killing more people. The police has now opened up an investigation on the father for breaking the weapon's law. rolleyes Great, after the fact.

But in good news, Finland wants to adopt stricter gun laws - no license for anybody under 20 and you have to have been a member of a shooting club for 2 years (so you can aim better at the people you want to kill? disbelief )
