Uncle Albert looks so "stuck on" on that DVD pic LOL

I generally hate all sitcoms, but "Only fools" is a classic. Funny how Americans lapped up pure shite like "are you being served?" but have never heard of something with abit of substance like "only fools". I love the acting between Del and Rodney. They got a bit crap later on mind, but hey, all sitcoms do that.

Don't ferrets smell? I've heard that you have to get some gland removed (Not yours, the Frerret's! Or maybe it is yours, so you can cope with the smell!)?

Is that right? Or am I making that up?

I'm sure they stink! ill don't worry, we aren't getting a ferret as much as we aren't getting a Wii lol

Your kids might be playing a subtle psychological game to get you to compromise on a Wii ferret game. innocent

Seen them too many times. But as best all round scripts, pacing, characters, situations etc... Yes I agree, it can't be beaten. It also helps that it never got tired because there were only about 12 episodes ever made. Pretty much all major sitcoms outlive their welcome, but obviously not that one.

Wow, The Young Ones was an oversight. Not sure whether I'd class Comic Strip as a sitcom though? Although it was narrative based, ...ummmm borderline.

The Flying Circus, however, definitely was a sketch thingy and not a sitcom.

....How did forget The Young Ones....

I watched every single episode of young ones first time around, except one episode which aired the week we were on school camp
and do you know what we did? tuned in to ABC radio and listened to it
I think I even taped the audio onto a cassette
it was the one where the headless ghost with dropped his head onto a lady's lap and she farted

fart lol

The strangest thing about the Young One's for me is that my love of lentils comes from watching it. eek

I remember as a little kid asking for lentils just because it's all they ever ate on the show.

....I'm much more sophisticated now of course. Lemon juice, rocket, maybe some balsamic vinegar. Very nice. nod foodnow

Well, if I thought the lentils looked appetising, I'm not sure that sandwich would've put me off!

From memory I did a pretty decent Jerzy Balowski impression as a 7 year old. Ah, the days before cam-corders & youtube.

Andy Griffith show! I just love it. But I think love what wish life would be... where people seem to really care about each other. They seem to care about each others feelings.

I like the Cosby show, too!

I really like the old shows. Let's see. I also like I Love Lucy! I just think it's funny.
