"Supreme Courtship" by Christopher Buckley.
Best opening line ever: Supreme Court Associate Justice J. Mortimer Brinnin's deteriorating mental condition had been the subject of talk for some months now, but when he showed up for oral argument with his ears wrapped in aluminum foil, the consensus was that the time had finally come for him to retire. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I watched it last night, I liked it too I may just read the books I did the same thing. I watched the movie on Saturday thinking it was going to be really cheesy. I actually really loved it and now I have to read the books. "Cocaine is God's way of tellin' you, you're making too damn much money!"~Robin Williams

That book was brutal I never knew Pep got it rough like that,,,,,she never gave me the impression of somebody who'd take abuse, I've never liked Treach, but he sunk into a new low after reading this book. I'm happy that she overcame that period of her life,,,,,she truly came a long way. Yeah I was surprised by that. Now I am reading about more abuse: in Faith Evans' autobiography.

just a fun kid's book i picked up last week. it's kinda like coraline, only the main character is a boy instead of a girl and the story is more sci-fi than magic/witchery. the writing is very cute. i would have loved this book when i was a kid.

Although the kid that plays him is very attractive but not my type. Have to add some tattoos, give him darker hair and make him a little more manly...maybe add some years since technically he's only 17...times a million or whatever. Last night I got to the part where Bella goes to Italy to save him...holy crap!

I was very horrified to find that MTV studios had a hand in the movie, and I was right to be scared because in some very basic ways they did not stay true to the book and it is irritating. HOWEVER, I love the movie. .orgnote....I'll not go into it here I'm firmly planted in denial

I'm finishing Twilight (which I've loved actually), and I has gotsta read:
Hannah's Gift by Maria Housden- i've made friends with this NY author, and I can see the tale, being a true one about her 3 year old daughter who died of cancer is going to be a tear jerker! The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows (waiting patiently in a pile) and The Book of Unholy Mischief by Elle Newmark (also waiting patiently in a pile for me to read...) I'm also reading my friend's novel in the making, and my own, and probably more once more ppl get into our writer's group! Bring it on No hablo espanol,no!
Pero hablo ingles..ssii muy muy bien... "Come into my world..." Missy Quote of da Month: "yeah, sure, that's cool...wait WHAT?! "
