Hehehe I was thinking the same thing. I guess if I was never told horror stories about child birth and did not see movies of women screaming their heads off, I would not know it was supposed to hurt.
Hmmmmm..... sigh

Ellie told me about Ina May's Guide to Childbirth. Ellie said it really helped and she was able to do it naturally with no drugs and not a lot of pain.

It doesn't have to be a horror story at all though. It hurts worse than buggery, but it's for a good cause nod
Last kid I popped out was also no drugs, not enough time! lol

I do believe that if I did not know anything about it, I would not be as anxious and nervous about the pain.
I know it would still hurt like hell but I would not be feeling as anxious at night when I am lying in bed trying to sleep and stories other women have told me go through my head.
I just keep thinking that I am only doing this once so once it is over, that is it for me.
biggrin

it's just one day of your life nod
just think, those women gloating in their gory stories, probably went back and did it again, twice even!
If I had a choice of climbing Mt Fuji or giving birth again, I'd choose the latter lol

I know you are right. It is just one day that changes your life forever and ever.

I am going to go put on my hiking boots and go for a long hike.
I think I would be less anxious about climbing Mt. Fuji

I've heard of "The 5 People You Meet In Heaven", but not the other one. I need to get to my local library, see if they have these books. Rather then actually buying the book, I could loan it for awhile. hmmm

Teacher

Just finished re-reading the Belgariad and the Malloreon by David Eddings, then a swedish writer - now another swede, a novel about the insane anti-terrorist laws that are applied everywhere after 9/11.
When I'm done with that I'm moving on to re-read "Micah" and "The Harlequin" by Laurell K. Hamilton, as a preparation to "Blood Noir" which is next in the "Anita Blake" series.
