A question for straight men...

So you're at a party, and there is a man there who keeps looking you up and down. He comes over to you and tries to make a pass at you, but you're not interested because you're straight? What do you do?

Before you answer that question, let me rephrase it a bit:

You're at a party, and there is a woman who keeps looking you up and down. She comes over to you and tries to make a pass at you, but you're not interested. Only as you tell her you're not interested, you shove her away forcefully (or maybe a little worse.)

Now, go back and answer the top question.

Would you treat a woman like that if she only made one pass at you? I'm guessing not. But would you be as forgiving to a gay man for the same?

I have seen my own husband be totally flattered and flirt back but explain he's straight. One of the things I love him for.

Good answers, albethem brief answers

For me, I don't even go that route - once I find out a guy is straight, I lose all interest, and don't go the rough trade route. But if it didn't matter to me, or I didn't know (sometimes one can't tell), I would like to think that I could hope for a situation where I would be turned down without anything more than that (especially physical) happening. I know there are some instances where this is not realistic to expect, but that those instances are fewer than they were 20 years ago. I would like to be afforded the dignity of the person being flattered, not insulted.

a person with self worth will feel flattered I think, those without it will worry what others will think of them, and act accordingly confused

I'd probably give him a good tounge tangle before I tell him that I am married and let him down gently.

joking aside I think have had more passes made from guys than women (not that either run into double figures) i am usually a bit slow on the uptake and by that time i am having a good conversation so i don't care what sexual persuasion they might be.

I would never push someone away, man, woman or monkey.

I asked Phil once if you were buff, and he asked what do you mean? "does he wear a tight t-shirt or a loose one"
"tight one"
enough said.

Doesn't mean that you are buff, i just like showing off my beer belly! the tight ones ride up and over your navel, which can look particularly pleasing to the eye.

So now replace the person receiving the pass from a man to a woman. Is it acceptable for a woman to be physical in her rejection ? hmmm
