Jon and Kate + 8+2? wth?

ok- i've watched this show from the beginning- sometimes Kate gets on my nerves but I like her- jon's a typical father of 8 and husband- the 6 are adorable- especially "daddy's son" lol . That Maddy child...no comment about what I think happens with her behind the cameras-Cara's cool

Both mom and dad don't "work" because of the success of the show. With all this chaos and a new house why would this neat freak go and get two german shepard puppies to live with them? I think the producers are guiding them to keep the viewership. They both said it would have been easier to have another baby.

Do you think she'll get pregnant again next? Would you if this show was your income?
LOVE HARD.

it wouldn't make sense to somehow help them lose viewership does it.

cheers!

Just asked my daughter, who is totally addicted to this show, Jon works from home as a computer consultant. This is not too far fetched. My brother, who is married with one kid and one dog in PA, works from home for Microsoft and often has downtime until one of his clients calls him. He mostly handles large corporations on their major computer issues.

On the note of the dogs, pets for kids are a good thing, but I seriously wouldn't have recommended two German Shepards. They really aren't dogs to have around young children. Maybe one Labrador. But truthfully with all those kids, the film crew and the new move I wouldn't have recommended any pets at all, at least until they had gotten fully settled into their house.

Same. From what I've seen, she is just awful to her husband. It gives me a headache just catching a glimpse. The 65899583943 kids can't help much, either.

I think some of her reactions are justified- and he handles her very well. If both of them went head to head- it would really be chaos.

The kids are cute, and Jon seems like a sweetheart. But Kate? Jeez -I know kids are a lot of work and stress, and having 8 of the little monsters can't be helping any, but that woman is just so unpleasant. Makes me think of my elementary school principal. confused

Jon works. They live like 30 minutes from me, and a friend of mine like seriously stalks them. Its bizarre. Or bizzare. Whatever.

About the dogs.

I just did the same f'in thing. You do strange things when you realize that your baby days are over. Seriously. I swore up down and left and rite I'd never get an ANIMAL in my house. Gross. But moms need to mother. And you need 2 cuz one will get bored and chew on the kids. Thats what Lucious Wolfie does, cuz I REFUSE to get him a playmate. Plus the dog is good for the kids. Kate cracks me up.

Jon works

and I think Kate catches alot of shit...figuratively and literally
she can be a bitch but she holds it together pretty well as far as I'm concerned...I think she's an incredible mother above all else...everybody seems to think that Jon is some kinda of pussy...I think he allows her to vent and chooses his battles...if you watch the show regularly, you'll see that when he finally puts his foot down, Kate shuts the fuck up...they are a great team though, and do an incredible job with the kids

I agree.

Have 8 kids and tell me how you behave. I think they do a fine job.

I love the episode where they're at the crayola factory and she's SCREAMING across the place for him to take the kids to the bathroom.

LOVE IT.

idea He works from home. I figured he had to have a job of some kind. It would be pretty hard to have 8 kids and not work. Unless if you're like that crazy Octomom with 14 kids, relying on everybody else for financial support. lol rolleyes disbelief

I don't watch this show, but that's what I've been reading also. Allegedly Jon told someone just recently that he and Kate are "getting a divorce".

Rite. lol I guess it's kind of like dating someone who insists on listening to U2 when you really don't care about the enviroment or the world in the first place.

I saw something like that on the cover of one of the weekly gossip mags. That divorce would be a damn nightmare.

Personalities aside, the custody and financial arrangements would be a headache. I mean, how do you co-parent 8 kids without being married? It seems like that would take so much work that you may as well be married.

Not really - the environment & the world concerns us all, like it or not smile But the chaos of 8 children is easily avoidable & (for me) lacks any appeal. shrug

You're absolutely correct on that. It is not going to be easy for anybody who is involved with this divorce. It's a damn shame.
