Home Alone, parts 1 & 2. Absolute classics!

My all time favorite is "White Christmas" with Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney and Danny Kaye.

Next would be "Miracle on 34th Street" and "Scrooged".

I think it's called "A Christmas Story". It's about a little boy and his wacked out family. Hilarious. Lots of great examples of childhood angst.

It's also a fantastic version of the story. Manages to be genuinely moving as well as being quite scary (the ghost of Christmas future still sends shivers down my spine!).

Yeah, I watched a few bits being filmed - hard to believe it was nearly 20 years ago.
My journey to work each morning currently takes me past Scrooge and Cratchitt's workplace (a second-hand record shop, now) and the Corn Exchange (a small shopping arcade).
When I'm wondering around town at lunch-times, my journey usually takes me past Bob Cratchitt's house and the marketplace.
Incidentally, in the churchyard where Scrooge sees his own grave, the gravestone is still there, amongst all the genuine graves.
Ah, I want to go and watch it again, now.

National Lapoon's Christmas Vacation That squirrel in the tree cracks me up everytime!!! But any of the old cartoon/claymation christmas shows are fun too!!

"the bishop's wife" an old black and white movie. cary grant plays an angel who comes to earth to "help" a clergyman (david niven) during the holidays. it's a very charming little film.

i believe there was a re-make of this with denzel washington fairly recently, but i never saw it.

I dunno about best x-mas film but the best Santa was Dan Ackroyds drunk santa in Trading Places.

Absolutely classic!

A Christmas Story and Charlie Brown's Christmas. Man they treat him like crap in that one. He was called stupid and hopeless because he bought a little tree.
