I read that it is very common. Though I was never a huge meat eater before getting pregnant. I have been getting my protein through milk, soy milk, beans, nuts, cheeses, yogurt. Anything but meat and eggs. I know it's different for every woman, but you have a specific way you like to eat your beans? I have a pregnant vegetarian in one of my women's groups I try to make something special for each week. So far the only thing I've come up with to set aside for her during "snack time" is hummus. I usually put it in a wrap for her while the rest of us carnivores go crazy over the meat sandwiches I like all types of beans. I have been eating hummus too. I like to eat black beans and rice. I have been able to eat minced beef in things like chili and bolognes, as long as I do not have to cook it or see it or smell it cooking. I used to love spicy food but not now. I have gone off of that too. Sweet and sour is what I love now.

I never much liked it before or since, but one day when I was about 4 months pregnant I craves port wine cheese. I ate a whole container.
I craved a lot of tomato sauce and chinese food. Peace. Love. Prince

To this day I have not been able to be in the same room when cabbage is cooking and because at times the only thing I could keep down was cornflakes, I haven't had a bowl in 32 years. Oh yeah, I stopped at 1.
