Why would anyone eat something manufactured rather than something natural? We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

That's because it goes rancid at the drop of a hat. Canola was developed as an industrial lubricant. I wouldn't touch that stuff with a 10-foot pole. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

You could put butter on a turd and it would taste heavenly. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

And that right there is why i only use butter. I received a email about this a few years ago,and since then I have not used anymore Margarine. so did you read the article in a link above? that debunks this particular smear campaign email from the dairy corporation? I still like butter better. If you leave margarine sitting out,it tends to get watery. Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. ~Berthold Auerbach

So much more interesting info here than yesterday.
Another tip I've read about but never tried yet was pouring extra virgin olive oil in an ice cube tray and freezing it. Then use it like butter spread on your toast.

Did you get the canola scaremongering e-mail perchance? Come on people. I look at this thread and from one e-mail the initial poster put up people have actually decided not to eat margarine anymore right here and now without a second thought. Scary stuff. . Every once in a while if I want to indulge in a piece of buttered toast or something I use a yogurt-butter hybrid they sell in the markets here. It's pretty yummy.

There will also be no flies buzzing around it. Bricks were originally intended for use in concentration camps. Your children are at risk too. Here's the interesting part. Scientifically, bricks are but ONE MOLECULE away from being a PAEDOPHILE!

It's only been recently that I've been needing butter spreads because I've only begun eating sprouted breads, and it needs something on it, so that's why I use Smart Balance. But that grilled cheese with real butter sound good right now.
