gift recommendation.. June will mark our 20th wedding anniversary. I'd like to go to Manhattan, stay in a nice hotel, see a show and go perhaps to Le Cirque, or another fancy schmancy restaurant..but what to give? I feel the need to give her something to express my love and gratitude to her being my other half for so long...
I've given her diamond rings, earrings, pearls, gold... [Edited 3/7/09 13:07pm]

perhaps a spa package?
that is tough, because gifts never really fully interpret gratitude, but maybe giving something that'll allow her to pamper and take care of herself would express how much you value her?? i hate shopping for anniversaries all the best though [...i think i can, i think i can, i think i can...]

i also think that personal letters are romantic,
you get to say everything in one go, and it's there on paper for however long you choose to keep it (hopeless romantic ) [...i think i can, i think i can, i think i can...]

do you write?? or have a way with words???
write her something heartfelt and honest...it may not be a material gift but it's surprising what words can do...

I'd be happy with some quarts, some wings, a Bronco, and some Tesla. I've reached in darkness and come out with treasure
I layed down with love and I woke up with lies Whats it all worth only the heart can measure It's not whats in the mirror but what's left inside

Traditional gifts for the 20th Wedding Anniversary are China, and Platinum. So maybe a nice platinum anniversary band. Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. ~Berthold Auerbach
