Balloon Releases. Good idea?? Hi everyone. I am finally finishing physical therapy school in May and as apart of our celebration, I would like to do a balloon release of 2,009 latex balloons inflated with helium. This is controversial to some because of litter concerns and the potential for residual balloon pieces being consumed by animals, etc. This is a big occasion for us and it would be really fun to do. Help me decide on if we should do it or not.

Here's just a suggestion: Check with the children's hospital or Gilda's club in your area and see if there's a room or flower garden that could use some plants. The cost of the ballon and a set of 6 plants or single plant should balance out to the same. They might even have a room that could use some cheerful ballons painted on it. This is a lasting and giving memory of your hard studies and sacrifice.
