Bewitched or I Dream of Jeanie? Which do you prefer? Pure escapism which involves a woman with a special ability who is hopelessly in love with her husband who wishes that their wife would not use her powers so much. Both ladies mean well, but both get themselves and their man in trouble by using their abilities. I prefer Bewitched myself. I enjoyed the plots more. Samantha seemed a little more brighter that Jeanie who always seemed a few fries short of a happymeal...although I think it's her "Fish out of water" that gets her in the most trouble. Her "being a slave to her master" attitude was a little hard to swallow. Also Bewitched had Endora and Uncle Arthur which were HIGHLY entertaining. Not to mention Mrs Kravitz. Other considerations... Both of these shows baffle me!
How could these guys end up with beautiful women with magical powers and then act like they didn't like it? If you will, so will I

Bewitched by a mile, but Jeannie was pretty good too.
All the relatives in Bewitched were awesome, like Aunt Clara. And then Dr. Bombay and Esmerelda and all the rest. So great. I did love when they showed the inside of Jeannie's bottle, though. That was always cool.

Here's a bit of a "mashup" for ya...
...Barbara Eden & Dick York. From an episode of the 60s western series Rawhide. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

"I Dream of Jeannie."
On so many levels, the premise represented an archetypal male fantasy from that era: Larry Hagman portraying a bachelor astronaut, the heights of alpha maledom -- successful, famous (remember, astronauts were still relatively new when this series dropped) and single. He comes into possession of a genie bottle that contains a beautiful creature who will cater to his wishes and is crazy for him. The only thing that kept it in the madcap realm was that, for some reason, Hagman's character had to keep it all a secret.

Wow...that's like having to choose between Star Wars and Star Trek.
I guess I.D.O.Jeanie...based on the hotness factor. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

... and, she called him "Master!" This show was shot in the 1960s. It was pushing limits on all sorts of levels.

I guess I.D.O.Jeanie...based on the hotness factor. Barbara Eden was hot. On every episode I wanted to yell "C'mon JR. F*** Jeannie already!" (The episode with Sammy Davis Jr. was kewl.) I give it to Bewitched though. Elizabeth had a way with our young boys minds and our Penthouse Forum derived mental outlook. "Boy why you watching old Bewitched reruns? Everybody's in here watching Good Times." "Uh. I uh. I was trying to see if this was the one where Darren got turned into an elephant". "The first time I saw the cover of Dirty Mind in the early 80s I thought, 'Is this some drag queen ripping on Freddie Prinze?'" - Some guy on The Gear Page
