Ha! Ha!
Seattle may give him a go. Indy will not. I can't see TO going to Oakland, so we're safe. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

At this point in his career, he's going to want to go to a Super Bowl contender, so I would rule out Oakland. Plus there's the issue of salary cap space, so I don't know who would be willing to offer him a hefty contract.
Some say he should go to the New York Giants and replace Plaxico Burress, but that may be trading one headache for another. Others say that he should go to Indianapolis and replace Marvin Harrison, but they already have a really decent receiver in Reggie Wayne, plus they were already semi-phasing out Marvin Harrison the last couple of seasons because of his injuries. Plus I believe they have salary cap issues. Some say he should go to the Washington Redskins, but I don't believe that they are in a position to contend for a Super Bowl. Playoffs, maybe, but not the big game. He would make a great receiver in Kansas City now that Matt Cassel is going to be their starting quarterback, but Kansas City is in rebuilding mode, and they especially need to rebuild their defense. He actually would be quite good in Minnesota being the primary receiver with Bernard Berrian as the deep threat and Adrian Peterson as the explosive running back, but the Vikings still have issues with the quarterback position. Gus Frerotte is nothing more than a journeyman at this point in his career, and Tavaris Jackson still makes too many mistakes. So where does T.O. go? I think the Tennessee Titans would be a great fit for him. They still have an awesome defense even without Albert Haynesworth, and while they have a decent journeyman quarterback in Kerry Collins and two awesome running backs, their receiving core is pretty limited. The Atlanta Falcons would also be a good fit, as he would give QB Matt Ryan an experienced receiver to go to. So would the Baltimore Ravens, as they have the same issue with Joe Flacco as Atlanta does. Graycap23 said: Dallas is toast. T.O. is the scapegoat.
You're right about that. They used T.O. and Pacman Jones as scapegoats for their choking down the stretch, but their real issue is Tony Romo. He just isn't the leader in the locker room that they need, and he's more caught up in the glamorous lifestyle than in wanting to take the Cowboys to the Super Bowl.

How much you wanna' bet that the Cowboys get out of the first round of the playoffs this upcoming season???? I've seen what T.O. does to teams up close, it ain't pretty. There is a reason why he bounces from team to team and has not won a Super Bowl. "Always blessings, never losses......"

The Vikings got Sage Rosenfels in a trade with the Texans. Rosenfels will win that job. He is good.

There's always someone that thinks they can do with Owens what the Pats did with Moss. And the Vikings had Moss at his worst, so they'll be thinking they know what NOT to do. Did Houshminzadah (I'm sure I screwed that spelling up) sign with anyone yet? I heard he was talking with the Vikes. Who's a bigger headcase, TJ or TO?

No he won't....he drops to many balls Seriously, don't get me wrong...T.O. has tons of talent. But IMHO he takes more away from teams being the cancer he is than what he contributes with his talent. Is T.O. Washington bound?

In spite of myself, I keep seeing a four-receiver set with T.O., Marques Colston, Lance Moore, and Devery Henderson...Drew Brees in the shotgun...and the league's #1 offense will be just that much more potent...
...but instead of understanding (his situation), T.O. will start with his demandings and Saints fan won't be able to stand it... ...uh uh baby.... seriously, I think he needs to end up on a team with an established leadership structure and a strong QB...I'm thinking Patriots, Steelers....hell, maybe the Chargers...would be good fits for him...but he'll probably end up with the Raiders or Redskins and become a sideshow again.... He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.

They've shed too many divas over the last few seasons to pick up a diva sui generis. Others say that he should go to Indianapolis and replace Marvin Harrison, but they already have a really decent receiver in Reggie Wayne, plus they were already semi-phasing out Marvin Harrison the last couple of seasons because of his injuries. Plus I believe they have salary cap issues.
He'd spread the field further for Wayne at the 1 and the promising Gonzalez in the slot, as well as Dallas Clark at TE. But TO is number 1, and would not take a back seat. That being said, that locker room is heavily Dungyfied, and Peyton is one of 3 players who (IMO) could contain TO singlehandedly. Some say he should go to the Washington Redskins, but I don't believe that they are in a position to contend for a Super Bowl. Playoffs, maybe, but not the big game.
Dead right. Too many issues, not the least of which are lack of a deep talent base (particularly on the lines) and lack of an offensive identity (which is fertile ground for TO to wreak havoc over his targets and touches). That being said, signing him is right up Washington's alley. I don't care if they said they're not interested. There's never saying never in DC. He would make a great receiver in Kansas City now that Matt Cassel is going to be their starting quarterback, but Kansas City is in rebuilding mode, and they especially need to rebuild their defense.
Sideline confrontations between TO and Haley are inevitable and would be a major distraction. Plus, they haven't even shed Larry Johnson. I think Bowe is promising. If Marvin Harrison is interested, I'd definitely look into him. TO is too big for that team.
Sage Rosenfels, their new starter, can't handle TO. I don't think Childress could either. They've got some strong guys in that locker room -- Jared Allen, Steve Hutchinson -- but you're right. So where does T.O. go? I think the Tennessee Titans would be a great fit for him. They still have an awesome defense even without Albert Haynesworth, and while they have a decent journeyman quarterback in Kerry Collins and two awesome running backs, their receiving core is pretty limited.
I'd agree, because perhaps everybody but the Titans recognize their WR problems. Yet, the Titans are a run-oriented team. TO would tire of that pretty quickly. But they've got good locker room guys -- Keith Bulluck, Kevin Mawae, and Jeff Fisher -- that could counter his distractions. Would they be too gun shy after the Pac-Man debacle? The Atlanta Falcons would also be a good fit, as he would give QB Matt Ryan an experienced receiver to go to.
Roddy White, arguably, is better than TO right now. There are a LOT of young guys on that team, and they got rid of DeAngelo Hall for being a malcontent. So would the Baltimore Ravens, as they have the same issue with Joe Flacco as Atlanta does.
I think this is the best fit of all. A good offensive line, solid RB corps, 2 good-but-not-elite WRs (Mason and Clayton), and a defense headed by another 1 of 3 guys that could take on TO singlehandedly, Ray Ray. He stretches defenses and that could help the offense score enough points to win the AFC.
Here's where I'll disagree. Everything you say about Romo is true, but TO plays a part in that. When he was there, TO knew Jerry Jones loved him, he had allies in the locker room, and Wade wasn't going to be a threat. Plus, he's a quote machine. All those factors had to intimidate Romo. It was evident in many games where he looked down TO and ignored his reads. On top of everything else you said, TO made Romo's life worse. And when your QB is off, the team goes nowhere. I was actually pulling for Dallas to keep TO, because I knew they'd go nowhere without him. That being said, even without TO, Dallas is talented enough to win the NFC.
